The Clock & Watch Shop-Sales

Lovely old style watch and clock shop. Been around for years, but the old geezer behind the counter has been replaced by a lovely Señorita, who replaced the pin in my watch band for next to nothing.
No complaints.

I’d love to give this shop a better review, as it’s conveniently located, has a nice selection of watches and clocks and theirs is a very cute little watch shop. However, my experience in trying to get a simple watch repair accomplished dictates otherwise.
I dropped a vintage wrist watch off months ago to get the hands and crystal replaced. No mechanical repairs to the watch were necessary. This should’ve been a simple task. After waiting months (multiple) to hear back on the status of my repair, I figured they just didn’t call customers to let them know when a repair was complete and stopped by to get my watch. Turns out, they had not even ordered the replacement hands for the watch though the repair was authorized months ago.
Rather than apologize for their mistake, they chose to take a defensive stance, insisting they were doing the «mechanical» repairs first. The watch was in impeccable mechanical order, having been purchased directly from a trusted vintage watch dealer. If they had acknowledged and apologized for letting my watch fall through the proverbial cracks, I would’ve been annoyed but let it go. Failing to acknowledge the error however was the last straw when I’d been waiting for my watch for months already.

Come on…11 dollars to take a link out of a watch? That is just silly to charge for what took 15 seconds… good job losing a customer who may have bought a watch!

I took a watch there to have the braclet repaired and they did a great job. Work was professional and the price was right. They have a nice selection of high end watches and some cool wall clocks as well. If you need a watch repair check these guys out. :-)
