While in New Orleans on business, met up with some friends who also happened to be in town for a conference! They found out that the 1st Annual New Orleans Vendy awards was happening, so with my only night off, we high tailed up into the French Quarter to check it out.
$ 30 bought you 9 samples (one from each truck) and 3 drinks (beer or water). Not too shabby!
Checked out all the trucks competing, tasted enough food to be comfortably full, met some crazy and interesting people, and overall had a good time.
My favorite bites were from «Foodie Call» and «Taceuax Loceaux». Would check this place out again, and hopefully they’ll have more competitors and be managed more efficiently!

Could have used a bit better organization in getting everyone inside, and some of the lines were a bit long, but overall fun and delicious.
