With shops in New Orleans, Austin and Baton Rouge, Storyville is working to create a national marketplace for local artists and designers. History

Established in 2007.

Storyville was founded in January 2007 and quickly expanded throughout Louisiana and Texas. Storyville now has shops in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Austin as well as a stand-​alone Print Shop in New Orleans. Storyville’s mission is simple — to support local artists and designers and to encourage individual expression.

Had the sales team been a little more friendly, I may have purchased something. I follow Storyville Apparel on social media and was excited to go into the brick and mortar stores to actually try on shirts. Unfortunately the sales ladies were too engulfed in their conversations among themselves to be helpful. Two other people left the store while we were there, and it seemed to be for the same reason I was turned off. They didn’t speak to anyone and I’m assuming they thought their products sold themselves. The only person they «entertained» was a friend who came in and asked to change his clothes. Cute merchandise, but terrible customer service.

Cute, fun NOLA and Louisiana themed attire. I live out of state now and enjoy visiting the shop (and their website) to pick up a cute LSU or NOLA shirt. They aren’t the cheapest, but they are a small business and their creativity makes the product worth the price.

New Orleans, LA
This is one of a few New Orleans-​themed t-​shirt shops and it’s probably my favorite. Some of the others spend what seems to be a lot of time/​energy on knick knacks and paddywhacks (you get the drill), but Storyville always has a solid selection of cute shirts and almost all of the sizes you would need in one small store.
There’s a great selection of food-​related shirts (I got the «That fish Cray» shirt for when my biology classes dissected crawfish, it was adorable) and local sayings. They also have a lot of LSU and Tulane shirts, if you’re into that. I went to neither of those schools so I refrain in that section.
I have to say that the sizing on women’s shirts is pretty whack. I am not really a small person, but I am certainly not the largest person that may want to buy a shirt here, but I buy the largest size they have. If I am the largest customer they can accomodate with a women’s cut, something needs to be re-​evaluated. Luckily, they have «unisex» cuts as well that seem to run bigger.
The cashiers here were not… overly friendly, but not rude by any means.
I feel great shopping here because it’s a local business, so while the shirts may seem a little pricey (usually just over $ 20) they are unique and give back to the local community rather than the big-​box stores.

Ok, I may be a little biased but the owner of this store is an LSU grad like me and I think we were there around the same time bc he looked familiar. So gotta support fellow tigers!
This store is one of my favorite go to stores for awesome NOLA t-​shirts. There are local sayings and neighborhoods on their shirts that crack me up! Oh and they also have sweatshirts and hoodies too which are cute. Some of my favorite are their Saints shirts!
They also have contests where people can submit their designs, people vote and the winning design gets featured in a shirt! I’ve had a few friends submit designs before so we get pretty excited! It’s a nice way to support the locals!
Since I’m a godmother or Nanan (as we like to say down here) I have pretty much bought almost every cute onesie for my goddaughter from here and from Fleurty Girl. Now that my goddaughter is getting bigger I guess I’ll be looking for t shirts for her now!
You can also sign up for their email and find out about flash sales! They also have a basket of odd shirts that are on sale on the counter. And the sales stuff and onesies are in the back!

A cute little store on Magazine Street that offers a variety of locally designed and made t-​shirts. They’re humorous, true to the culture and affordable. They even have onesie versions of some designs. These make super cute gifts!
The salespeople have always given a friendly greeting and offered assistance when I shop there.
Downside: their sizes aren’t conducive to all body types and run on the smaller side, particularly the women’s shirts.

Stopped in here recently while visiting home. Cute little shop with fun shirts with witty sayings and illustrations centering around the New Orleans scene.
Didn’t really get a greeting from the sales associate when we walked in which should at least be the bare minimum. Just my honest opinion.
We browsed around at all the fun tees for men and women. The childrens items are towards the back of the store and they also have a small clearance section. I also noticed a sign posted stating that on Tuesdays all shirts are discounted. Didn’t get the exact discount but it was several dollars off.
Check this place out if you’re looking for a unique gift or just wanna treat yourself!

Really cool Tshirt shop on Magazine Street.
I popped in on a recent trip to NOLA and bought a few souvenir gifts from this adorable little shop.
They had some Phrases on shirts that I’ve said before, and were inside jokes with people, so I had to pick those up.
They also had some cute custom stuff (I contemplated buying the Rolls Royce Darren Sproles T, since he was a former San Diego Charger, as much love as I have for NOLA, I just couldn’t sport that Tshirt in San Diego… too painful)

Love their shirts! They make the best gifts for family and friends in addition to being fun/​actually relavent for around town. I love that they are locally designed and made. They have a «t-​shirt of the month,» which is always on sale.
What more could you ask for? They keep it fresh, current and seasonal. Also — they have great online contests for new shirt designs. Wish I was more artistic or clever so I could see my design walking around.
Hint: love the sale basket at the front desk. They have slightly damaged shirts or end of print designs for way cheap. Best one so far was finding a perfect/​end of print shirt for the bf — only $ 8!

Storyville offers cute T-​shirt designs usually designed by locals. They’re New Orleans-​inspired, which I like since I love this city, but they’re also appealing to any age and/​or gender.
They also offer contests where people can vote on which design they want to be made into a t-​shirt next.
Overall, if a tourist comes to New Orleans and they want to get a t-​shirt as a souvenir, they need to come here and not one of those tacky t-​shirt shops in the quarter.

And I love their new online tshirt contests, if you win your tshirt gets produced and you win cash. And as fan, I can get notified if a design makes it to a shirt. Fun!

I love this place, glad I found it on our last visit. They have a lot of great t-​shirt designs, mostly local in origin, but tourist can appreciate them too. It reminds me a lot of a company in California, Oaklandish. The prices are all reasonable, usually around $ 20. While I didn’t get a shirt, because I went over my t-​shirt alottment on the trip (got one from Defend New Orleans), my wife got one. She got the shirt with Oysters, and few of them being shucked, with the words «Awww Shucks!». Love the designs they come up with, looking forward to seeing what they come up with next.

When they didn’t have my side, one of the staff looked for the shirt’s availability online, and provided me with all the link info. Attentive, friendly and, well… easy on the eyes. Good job, Storyville.
Unilocal note: Storyville prints on American Apparel shirts. This makes online ordering easy if you have tried on shirts before at AA, however be forewarned: their sizing is not always the most logical depending on your body type.

Storyville is such a cool place for locals and tourists alike to go and pick up some really cute New Orleans themed tshirts and favors. This is the place where I got my infamous «Brad Pitt for Mayor» tshirt that always seems to get a chuckle whenever I wear it. Storyville is located right across the street from another New Orleans tshirt shop: Fleurty Girl, so between both stores you should be covered for anything you may need.

My new obsession!!!
So many shirts and for rather reasonable prices. I paid less for the funniest tee shirt ever than I paid to get made next door! They have every size and literally a tee shirt for everyone. LSU, Saints, 80s phrases, everything and most no more than $ 22!
I cannot wait to return to finish my Christmas shopping! Def a great place to get New Orleans unique gifts at an affordable price!

They have some nifty T-​shirts in here and a lot of unique items that can only be found here. They specialize in New Orleans and Louisiana (and also now Austin, TX) themed shirts. They have a collection of Saints shirts that are a bit more original than the standard NFL issue ones you might find everywhere else. They have some other stuff engineered to peak the fancy of women so be careful about getting dragged in here with females as they will find hours of entertainment while men can usually complete a satisfactory search in about ten minutes. They also have a website that works far better for those who really don’t want to endure the pain of a «shopping» trip (except there are usually some nice looking ladies shopping here so that can make the experience more bearable).

**I LOVE THIS STORE.**
It is quintessential NOLA pride all made with T-​SHIRT love. New Orleans’ symbols, phrases, icons. . from Drew Brees to the oil spill, the shirts are artfully and creatively done without being too political or over the top.
I love supporting my home town and when I heard that some of the t-​shirts proceeds went to a worthy cause, it struck my heart chord.
