Phillip C.

Business Owner

Phillip Cobb Started the Business In 1984 during the New Orleans Worlds Fair due to the need to have a clean radio that did not come out of the Petro Chemical or Construction Market. During that Year Phillip Started at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and shortly became the Communications and Logistics Director. Solid Communications Rapidly built radio inventory to meet the demand of the Conventions, Festivals, and Film and Video Markets. When Cellular came on to the market, Solid Communications was the first Company in the US to have a large inventory of Motorola Cellular phones. Solid’s Cellular Inventory stayed between 650 to over 1000 phones during the Olympics in Atlanta Ga. In Ga. Phillip lobbied to be the Gulf Souths1st Nextel Rental agent. Nextel Changed the Industry until Sprint bought the Company and is Slowly migrating the customers to Digital Cellular.

Today Solid Communications Continues to Stay on the Cutting edge of Technology with innovative thinking.
