Okay it’s Mardi Gras and it’s New Orleans, l’ll take that into consideration before I write this review, but some of this stuff was unacceptable. We chose this restaurant, because it wasn’t crowded at all and the prices were fair considering we’re in the French quarter. We walked into a bar where there was only small tables and my party was a group of 5 so we went out to the patio. The tables were like patio tables for your homes, not restaurant tables. They weren’t being washed down either. We had to go inside to get drinks in the bar, which was fine. Not a big deal. But after the waitress took our order, we waited an hour to get our food. Not 40 – 45 minutes. A whole hour. I’m pretty sure this woman was the only person waiting tables so I give her some credit. But I am pretty sure at one point she went behind this building in the patio to smoke weed because I could smell marijuana from where we were sitting. The food was mediocre. I got the Abita battered fish and chips, it was alright. Nothing special. My mother got the crawfish Mac and cheese and it was decent but the portion size was not enough. 2 of my friends got the gumbo and it wasn’t very good. It needed more spices to it. Also it was very soupy and it should have been served with bread since it was such a small portion for the price. My other friend got the catfish poboy, he said it was good but for $ 14 it should have been severed with some French fries or something. When we were done eating we asked for our«checks» and she looked at us if we were stupid. She said that they can’t do separate checks. That’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard of. It’s 2016. She said that it was common in the quarter to not do separate checks. But there was no sign on the door that said anything like that. She should of told us before we sat down. Like cmon. That really pissed us off. This establishment needs new management and I have a feeling it will close soon.
