Reliable Tree & Stump Removal

I recently contacted Reliable Tree & Stump Removal for some work I needed done at my home. David went by my home and called me with a price of $ 150.00. I felt it was high being that I only needed the roots of a azalea removed. We negotiated and came to a price of $ 75.00.
On July 1^st David (the owner) was supposed to come to my home to remove the stump. I received a text later that day saying an emergency had come up and he would not make. We rescheduled for July 3^rd. Which he also never showed up for. I called the following Monday to see why he did not show. He explained that because there was a gas line near the stump he wanted to have Louisiana One Call come out and mark the line first. I was understanding as it’s always better to be safe than sorry. David said he would contact Louisiana One Call for me and they should be out within a day or two and he would be back in touch to set something up. After not hearing anything I called Louisiana One Call this morning. Come to find out David had never called to schedule the marking of the gas line. I immediately messaged him «David after calling Louisiana One Call this morning. I found out there was never a ticket put in to have the line marked. It is my assumption that you are not interested in doing the work. Just wish you would have said that as this job was something I was eager to get done. Poor business if you ask me» he responded with «I know your right but here’s the thing I have a $ 40,000 stump grinder it’s parked in New Orleans it’s not worth my time to drive to Metairie or start for a measly $ 75. I was trying to be nice and just not call you back but that’s the God’s honest truth right here. I was in shocked by his response. I responded back «You own a business David. If you can’t do it for that price then don’t offer to. You said you could do it for $ 75 then you should honor that. But the mere fact that you can’t be professional and honest is ridiculous. I have chosen to use someone else. But I will make sure to write a review and not recommend your company to anyone» his response «Good call somebody else I don’t want to work with people like you anyway. I work with people with money» again I was blown away of how he was responding. What kind of business person talks to customers this way??? I don’t write many reviews but felt that this one needed to be written. I hope that anyone else that uses this company does not have the same experience that I did.
