Must stop when in New Orleans. The chicken and biscuits are hot & tasty. Tastes better in NOLA! My friend who doesn’t usually eat fast food thought the popcorn shrimp was great. Very reasonably priced lunch meal. Locals and tourists love it.

Whats your order? Now go home. Thats what it feels like in this popeyes. I showed up with my girlfriend and after hyping up popeyes for a few months to her i finally got a chance to take her to one. Keeping this short because im so dissapointed. The staff just rushes you through line or not. If you ask a question they roll their eyes first before they answer. And its like they want you gone so they can go back to talking about nothing. Pathetic. The closest popeyes to me in Mass. Is an hour away, so i dont get to go often but the people there are genuinly sweet and fast. A shame it isnt a company staple. I figured louisiana chicken was going to be epic in louisiana… NOPE!

Stopped by here after hearing that the Popeye’s in Louisiana is better than the ones outside of the state. I wasn’t disappointed. The fried chicken here is a lot more juicy and tender compared to the ones in Los Angeles. I wonder why Popeye’s doesn’t have the same type of quality control in all its franchises.

First time eating at a «Popeyes». We walked in at 6:00pm… not during mardi gras and not in the middle of the night. Our visit was definitely not a pleasant experience. We ordered our food from an extremely unpleasant, unfriendly, angry woman. She told us to sit down and someone would call our number for our food. We sat and waited for over 30 min. During this 30 min we watched many, many other people walk up, order and get their food on the spot. My friend finally went up to the register where luckily a manager was standing. Showed the manager the receipt that was time stamped and explained our situation. Manager got our food right away. Why we had to wait over 30 min is a mystery. The food was surprisingly good. I would give the food a 4 star but due to the snotty workers, crappy service and downright attitude. if I could give the place a negative number, i would.

Popeye’s biscuits and chicken breast– game over. Whatever delights they sprinkle onto these heavenly poultry dishes, we’re fans. Great spot located on Canal street for your late night cravings or just a quick meal. Abnormally long restaurant, but it allows for a secluded Popeye’s experience. You also have to ask for silverware and condiments at the second counter adjacent to the first. TV had Nickelodeon on, so we’re up to date on Hannah Montana — winning.

It was 12:30am after a parade and I was starving. Where did I go? Popeye’s! Since this location was close to our hotel, we decided to follow the drones of people and grab something to eat. The service was fast(not as friendly as I’d like, but it was 12:30am during Mardi Gras season, so I’d probably be less than happy to be working at that time too). We got in, got a few chicken po’ boys and sweet tea, and got out. It took about 10 minutes total, which I thought was pretty amazing considering the amount of people still around. We got our sandwiches back to the room and proceeded to devour them as if we hadn’t eaten in days. They chicken was moist and crispy, with just the right amount of seasoning. The bread was soft, and my sweet tea was perfect. Popeye’s is way better in Louisiana, than in any other locations. Judge for yourself next time you’re in NOLA.

I was told the Popeye chicken here taste better than the ones back home — fact! Located on busy Canal Street, this location is surprisingly clean. Not knowing what to expect, we ordered the 3 piece wing/thigh combo($ 2.99?) with a sweet tea($ 1?). The chicken were SOGOOD! The crispy skin was not overly battered or greasy and the meat was very juicy and moist. I was still licking my fingers when the first 3 pieces were gone… what to do? Order another 3 pieces! I need to check if they sell the sweet tea by the gallon here, if so, I’m bringing home a gallon!

Funny to review this place but my friend and I thought it would be good to do it. Risking my credibility as a foodie on Unilocal — this place was good chicken and biscuit — better than Popeyes at home. The chicken hit the spot after a rainy and muddy time we spent at the Jazz fest.

Yes, a Popeye’s in New Orleans(and there are a lot of them there), and it seems to be holding its own in a city with tons of great fried chicken places. We had the 5 spicy wing pieces for $ 2.99 and cajun rice. Same fine quality as other Popeye’s. The store is long and narrow, a la New Orleans«shotgun» style.
