It’s now October and there still seem to be staffing problems at this location. Once again NO ONE was there … at 2:00PM. Very frustrating as I have many more sessions thatare paid for.

I love to tan … and I love it even more when I like the place I am tanning in. Marissa was awesome when I bought my month of tanning here and having met the new owner … I am going to be a regular. The place is clean, which is SUPER important and shows they care… I can only hope and wait for Versa Spa… Although I have to say the Mystic spray tan doesnt look bad… THANKS y’all!

This tanning salon is wonderful! Drew, the person generally on staff, is awesome! He is always kind, helpful, and informative. If I ever had any questions about the variety of beds or about spray tanning he was always willing to answer my questions.
The tanning beds as well as the whole facility are always clean and well maintained. I strongly recommend this place if you are looking for a tanning place or even if you are just a tourist in NOLA and you need to get your tan in!

On June 28, 2012, national sunless day, I purchased 8 spray tans for the price of 4. It was buy 4, get 4 free. This cost me $ 115, which does not even include the $ 10 additional charge for each spray tan cartridge. Mind you I worked at a tanning salon for 4 years and NEVER paid for tanning, so this was a lot of money for me to spend!!!
After I confirmed that there was no expiration date and compared prices around town, I decided to go with the deal. Without this promotion I would have NEVER paid 115 for just 4 tans.
After using 4 spray tans over the course of the next couple of months, I entered the salon for my next spray and was informed that I NO LONGER HAD ANYMORE TANS!!! Apparently, when I bought my package of 8 spray tans, they actually only gave me 4!!! The man working was not apologetic, nor did he attempt to accurately research or respond to my concern, that I had paid for 8 and that there should be 4 more left.
I was very calm and asked for the owner to call me, which she never did. It has now been two weeks and the situation has yet to be resolved. I returned to the salon today, only for the same guy to tell me, «its not my fault the owner hasn’t called you» and act very rude to me!!!
I was shaking when I left there!!!
THIS IS FRAUD!!! I paid for 8 tans!!! …The employee acted like I was trying to get something for free?! Very offensive since I got a birthday coupon for a free cartridge back in November and DID NOT EVEN USE IT. The day after I received the free coupon I actually went and PAID for the cartridge!
At this point I honestly just want a refund, as I will no longer feel comfortable tanning there after how I was treated, and after trying to be cheated out of half of my package. :(

Although a chain, Planet Beach was perfect in a bind to visit for a quick, reasonably priced, spray tan without an appt.
I was unsure of my work schedule so I couldnt set an appt w/​Throwing Copper for a personalized organic spray tan, so I walked in to Planet Beach on St Charles the evening of my event.
After only a five minute wait I was able to get a machine administered spray tan for around $ 42. I was pleased with the efficient and friendly customer service and pleasantly surprised with how well my spray tan came out. After four hours I showered and it looked perfect for the evening. It did appear a tiny bit ‘orange-​ish’ the next morning, but still left me slightly sun kissed looking for about 3 days.
Overall, Planet Beach is perfect when you want to run in for a quick spray tan. For the price I’d prefer to be tanned elsewhere, with a person administering, but Planet Beach came through for this occasion and I’m sure I’ll return under similar circumstances!
