Nolapets

After a terrible boarding experience at a local vet, we were desperate to find a better way to make sure our 2 dogs are well cared for when we travel. I cannot begin to express how grateful we were to discover Laura! She is truly an answered prayer for us. We have two headstrong and rambunctious pups who aren’t very large but manage to take over a room. Laura offered to meet with us to make sure we were all comfortable with one another. She hit if off with our dogs and eased our worries right away. Her genuine love of animals is immediately apparent.
Laura is a breeze to work with. She is extraordinarily responsive by email and text. Setting appointments with her has always been easy and she goes out of her way to keep us updated on the pups while we are gone. We’ve been working with her for months now and I assure you, I wouldn’t recommend just anyone to come into your home while you’re away and take care of such precious, beloved family members. I can recommend Laura without hesitation. She has improved our pups lives and ours as well.

If you need a pet sitter that you can trust and will take better care of your pet than even you do then you have have to go with Laura!
I was a bit skeptical of the whole pet sitting thing but got in a bind when going out of town and luckily found Nola Pets on Unilocal and now I will call Laura every time.

Laura is incredible! I found her through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters and then I read all of her glowing reviews on Unilocal.I messaged her only a couple days before going out of town and she was more than willing to accommodate me.
She was very enthusiastic about my pets (two cats, her specialty). I was a little nervous to leave them in the hands of a complete stranger, but after our first meeting, all my worries were gone. She asked a lot of questions and had me fill out a questionnaire for each cat so that she would know their habits and personalities. She detailed each of her visits so that I knew exactly what happened while I was away and sent me texts and pictures to keep me updated. My cats hate when I travel, but both of them were a lot calmer and happier after being in Laura’s care.
I highly recommend her for any type of petsitting. She is kind, courteous, professional, prompt, very detail oriented, and highly enthusiastic. You can tell that she truly loves animals and loves her job. Your pets will be in very good hands!

I cannot say enough good things about Laura and her wonderful job of pet-​sitting our two dogs! We called on her only two days before our trip across the country after our original dog-​sitters bailed on us, and, despite the short notice, she was professional, courteous and paid much attention to detail. Like most enthusiastic pet owners, we are very passionate and particular about our dogs, and Laura put our minds at ease right away.
She took notes and asked many pertinent questions during our initial meeting. Every day that we were out of town, she sent us photos of our pups and texted updates about each day’s worth of visits. When we returned, our home was in exactly the same good condition as when we’d left, and our dogs were relaxed and happy! She’d left handwritten notes about every single pet-​sitting visit, which let us know she really had spent quality time with our dogs and made us feel extremely confident about hiring her the next time we travel.

I am a recent NOLA transplant and had travel plans during the week of Christmas. I was extremely nervous about finding care for my big, energetic furbaby while I was away. Thankfully, the forces of Unilocal led me to Laura of NOLA Petsitters!
Laura is an extremely nice lady that has a great love for all animals — you can tell just by talking to her. She was prompt in responding to all of my inquiries from the start. Within no time we arranged for a consultation to meet with me & my pup before I left town. Milo warmed up to her almost immediately.
Laura could probably sense my stress over leaving him for the first time since moving here. She assured me that Milo would be cared for as if he were her own, and I know she did just that! Not only did I come home to notes from each visit, but I was also sent pictures via text or email daily. When I returned from my travels, my dog was calm, happy, and healthy. I really could not expect or want anything more!
On top of great care, Laura’s services are also very affordable. She charges half of what other companies in the area were quoting me. Nor does she charge exorbitant extra fees like those other companies.
I will not hesitate to use NOLA Petsitters in the future and will recommend Laura to anyone searching for a reliable, affordable, & caring dog walker!

Laura is wonderful! She dropped everything to help me out this weekend when I had an emergency dog sitting situation. I am visiting and she didn’t mind spending hours in my hotel room (the hotel surprised me by saying you can’t leave your pet alone for any amount of time). She remained very patient with my nervous dog and didn’t get upset when my dog hid in her crate and grumbled at her the whole time. She also worked with me when I was unsure about my return time and was extremely conscious about not overcharging me– this is very rare with this type of business. Laura truly loves animals and I definitely recommend her to residents of New Orleans and visitors, alike.

I just returned from a 4 day trip to visit family and had Laura pet sit my chihuahua and chiweenie. I could not be more pleased with her. My dogs can be a little timid but they warmed right up to Laura during our initial meeting. It’s obvious she is a true animal lover.
I returned home to a clean house, with no trash, my mail brought in, and two happy pups. Laura even leaves progress notes from every visit. Would defiantly recommend her for anyone going on vacation versus boarding. The pets can stay home where they are comfortable and much less stressed.

As a new arrival to New Orleans, I was unsure whom to hire to care for my cats in my absence. Luckily I found Laura, owner of NOLA Petsitters. Not only is she an animal lover, she is a wealth of information regarding animal healthcare options and rescue resources in the area. I was able to go out of town over Christmas with no worries. She offered to text me pictures of my fur kids, and there were daily written notes upon my return. Laura is great for nervous cats and their anxious owners. She is also bonded and insured and has very competitive rates. I will use NOLA petsitters when I travel in the future, and would not hesitate to recommend Laura to care for your pets.
