Specialties

We specialize in everything from Stand-​Up-​Paddleboard sales and group paddle-​sessions, to private lessons and board-​yoga! Our lakefront store during the winter (October — March) is only open on the weekends, but we offer paddle sessions 7 days a week/​year-​around! Monday through Friday, we offer «instructor led» paddle-​sessions (with complimentary lessons) at 11:15am, 12:30pm, and 1:45pm… all sessions by reservation. On Saturday, we offer paddle sessions (with complimentary lessons) at 11:15am, 12:30pm, and 4:00pm… all by reservation. On Sunday, we offer paddle sessions (with complimentary lessons) at 10:00am, 11:15am, and 3:00pm… all by reservation. Call or email us with questions on products, or to make a reservation. History

Established in 2011.

We started NOLA Paddleboards in 2011 after enjoying the sport along the Southern California and Florida panhandle coastline for many years. I was hooked after my first stand-​up in 2006 during a workout session while employed as a beach lifeguard in California. I have been on a paddleboard almost daily ever since, and moving back to my hometown of New Orleans to share the love I have for the sport has been a dream come true!

I grew up in New Orleans and have have always been drawn to the water. My desire to surf led me to attend college in Hawaii. My dream to become a beach lifeguard led me to California, where I discovered my real passion — paddleboarding. My love for New Orleans, my hometown, brought me and my sport of paddleboarding right back!

My daughter and her friends have been a few times to this establishment. They have had a fantastic time and they say that the guides are friendly and professional. I feel like this is good, clean fun at a reasonable price for young teens. I also feel like it’s safe and the guides are well trained. Each time they go, they ask me, «When can we go back?» This would be a great activity for people visiting our city!

I went paddleboarding at the Lake Ponchartrain location with a few friends. All of us were new to paddleboarding and Jeff was great! Jeff was not only friendly, but was also a really good instructor. The reservation process was easy. I highly recommend this place if you want to try an activity in NOLA that doesn’t involve eating!

I am pleased to write a review of my paddleboarding experience with Jeff on Bayou St. John, within NOLA city proper! I went in March 2014. Is there a more unique & fun way to see and learn about New Orleans? Plus, on a warm day it’s nice to splash around a little, though you are not likely to fall off the board.
I’ve done a lot of kayaking and boarding in my life, and this trip stands out. Not only did I learn about New Orleans while enjoying the water, but we took a break to tour a historic house on the banks and Jeff took us to a classic po’ boy restaurant for lunch. (Yummy veggie options available!)
I highly recommend NOLA Paddleboards for an active, outdoors and enriching way to see New Orleans.

Absolutely amazing. The man that runs it is very knowledgeable about the sport and helps you every step of the way. He is very calm with you and helps you when you need it and when your acting like a turd, like me and my girlfriend were, he is still really calm and understanding. He helps you get confident before getting out on the water and gives you great tips on how to be safe. Love this place.

Don’t know where to start on how pleased I am that someone has the vision to start this type of business in New Orleans.
I usually go running by the lake and for some reason I thought how great it would be for there to be some sort of physical activity to do on the lake. So I googled it and came across this place. Had my first class today. This guy by the name of «Jeff» was the instructor. Very professional, knows his paddle boarding.

Loved it! It is my first time in New Orleans and my first time paddleboading, it was great! Jeff set us up and we paddled on bayou St. John.
I highly recommend doing this! We are here for Jazz fest and visiting our musician son and it was the perfect outdoor activity to get out and do in New Orleans.
Jeff is friendly, knowledgeable, and he even picked us up in the French Quarter and drove us!
