Nola Kids

We visited New Orleans this past weekend, and I found this boutique store on our way back from breakfast, There is actually a lot of good stores to shop in on this street. The prices are on the higher end, but the quality is what you are paying for. They do have a clearance rack toward the back but we were looking for baby books, which they had a good selection of. Lady working there was nice and very helpful when looking for things. I was able to find gifts for my nieces and a few baby gifts for expecting friends.

Cute shop with some adorable gift options. Wide selection of clothes, gifts, and books presented in a bright and colorful space. Staff was not helpful or friendly on my visit.

Super cute kids store that was open past 6 — win! It’s a boutique, so don’t expect cheap prices, but it’s definitely worth a look. There were several New Orleans-​themed kids’ books there that we didn’t see in other stores too.
My only downside — and this is really my complaint for most New Orleans stores — is that we were the only people in the shop and the employee couldn’t be bothered to greet us. Maybe they don’t do that here, but a little customer service would have put this over the top.

Wow. Can’t believe how dismissive your staff was when I asked about a product. I live here and wanted some fun local stuff to send to my family and I can tell you, it won’t be purchased at your store.

Very cute items but totally indifferent staff. I had gathered about $ 300 worth of items but decided not to reward such indifference so left it all on the counter.

So I always buy something for my niece and nephew when I travel. My husband found the most adorable shirt for my niece ($ 17) and nephew ($ 27). Although I loved the gifts I bought the kiddos, I thought they were a little on the high end (I’m from SD and am used to paying extra for clothes, but for kid clothes, it seemed a little high). I was fine paying the amount though because the t’s were too cute to say no to
Customer service was great and the lady behind the counter was okay with me taking pics of the shirts I was going to buy so I could send it to my sis to approve or disapprove. They have a lot of cute stuff here too, not just clothes.

Fantastic kids shop in the French Quarter. Very good selection of gifts for kids and reasonably priced. Check it out.

Great little shop full of adorable gift ideas for the little ones in your life, but it would be nice to get a greeting and/​or a smile from the staff while you’re there.

My friends and I went to NOLA kids to buy our kids some souveniers on our trip to New Orleans at the end of July. We stood outside the store and waited for them to open. At 10am, the clerk opened the store and didn’t even greet us. We were in there for about 10 minutes and all of a sudden the store clerk started telling us how she had an awful morning and she thought we were ridiculing her because we were waiting outside. My friend proceeded to make a purchase and the store clerk asked her to leave the store. She said she had spoken to the store manager who had told her if these ladies give you any trouble, tell them to leave. I have no idea what happened. My friends and I didn’t say or do anything. We were browsing and trying to make a purchase. The store owner and the co-​owner had told us that the store clerk had hyperventilated and passed out after we had left. She told us that we were 5 very strong women and we intimidated her. We are of color and I think the clerk was intimidated by that. One of my friends who is white was able to make her purchase without any hesitation but when my friend of colored skin when to make her purchase, the store clerk went kinda mental on her. This was by far the worse shopping experience of my life and the clerk as well as the store owner were extremely unprofessional. We are all working/​professional moms who were there to buy something nice for our kids. We did not deserve to be treated that way. The clerk even threatened to call the cops on us. although I have no idea why! Please do not ever go to this store especially if you are of colored skin because the owner as well as her employees are extremely racist.

The hours on the website said they opened at 9am. However, when I biked here at 9:15/9:30 they were closed! I found this to be frustrating since I planned my day to come in before work. I would appreciate more updated info on their website, or respect for what’s on there.
The store itself is nice enough. For younger kids mostly I imagine. I was able to find a proper gift. The prices seemed a little on the expensive side, but they looked nice.

Stopped by on a whim strolling down this street. Adorable kids’ store with cute and unique items. Bought some cute dishware. Recommend!

Super adorbs! I bought a Palm Springs style caftan dress & hat for my friends baby and saw so many other things that I would totally blow half my paycheck on.

Such a cute store and very reasonably priced — definitely worth dealing with parking in the quarter!
