Business Owner

Florence is a professional actor, experienced in both film and theatre, who relocated to New Orleans from Los Angeles in May, 2012. Her approach is deeply rooted in Method Acting in the vein of Stanislavski and Strasberg, but she is also influenced by a wide variety of other techniques. She believes that all actors are uniquely inspired, and that it takes time to learn what creative strategies work best for you. While she has an easy going, warm manner with students, she is dedicated to holding them to high creative and professional standards. She still auditions frequently for film and TV projects, and encourages her students not to get stuck in the classroom.

She holds a BFA in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College and an MFA in Acting from The New School in New York, and is also a lifetime member of the Actors Studio. Originally from Mississippi, Florence is thrilled to be working in Hollywood South, and to be closer to her family.
