Came in with my iPhone 5C with a screen that didn’t work, a charging port that went kaput and a battery that wouldn’t hold a charge. The gang over there, Rachel especially, hooked it up in record time. Barely took 30 minutes. This crew is fierce. They are like brain surgeons and rocket scientists rolled into one. They are rocket surgeons. I highly recommend them for your smart gadget needs. Oh and a little lagniappe: it smells incredible in there. I’m not kidding. Go in and find out for yourself. They have some kinda magic candles that they make in-​house. Weird but true.

I’ve visited this electronics repair shop four times within the past two years for multiple electronic devices. I’ve always thought that their customer service was great and that the repair services they offer are both affordable and efficient. I am a droid lifer. All of my devices from phones, tablets, & laptops are usually crafted by Google. The devices I’ve had repaired at this location are typically sold through the Google Play store and are not locked to a carrier which means you have to pay for Google insurance and warranty to protect your devices. This means shipping the device and waiting for it to come back in the mail. Bleep that. If you’re like me you can’t be without your handheld for too long so I’d recommend going to this repair shop because the quality of the repair is top notch and completed really fast. For someone like me who has uninsured devices this is definitely the way to go!

I became a bit bold the last 2 months. Took my phone out of the case and it felt so slender and normal. I relished the lack of case bulkiness, and I was so smug schlepping it around. Enter Christmas Eve visit to family’s house and there goes the screen — right smack in front of the house. No!!!
While it made for a technology-​free (very mindful — kinda nice around Christmas) next few days, the glass shards were doing a number on my finger prints. So, I finally resigned myself to getting it repaired. I had such an awful experience (literally horrid) at an iPhone repair store on Freret a few months prior, that I was happy to find out that another repair shop was located Uptown: myPhoneMD.
Rachel and Lindsey welcomed me in, asked some intelligent questions and got to work right away. Having grown up in New Orleans, I was bewildered to experience that such customer service can exist in the Crescent City.
While they worked on it I took a stroll on Magazine Street, and within half an hour I was back — and my phone was repaired! And as I was about to leave, I mentioned that my wife’s iphone (which met a watery demise a few months earlier) had unsalvageable data per the Freret Street competitor’s analysis (a lengthy analysis indeed — I will not say the exact duration that the Freret street biz held onto my wife’s iPhone for because no business should be hit that hard on Unilocal — but let’s just say that Jesus spent less time in the desert than my iPhone spent at that establishment). Well, the helpful surgeons at myPhoneMD said, «let me take a look», and within a minute they said — «this data seems to be salvageable. Give us some time to download it.»
Unreal. I went to the grocery store and came right back — all of my wife’s data was backed up on a thumb drive just waiting for me to run home and toss in her stocking for the 3^rd day of Christmas.
Hooray! A Christmas miracle! But not. Which is why I’m writing this review — the folks at myPhoneMD get the job down swiftly and solidly. And they are really nice. Thanks Lindsey and Rachel!

More than just solutions, myPhone MD excels at customer service and will always be my go-​to whenever I have an issue with my device. Dropped my Iphone 6 Plus on a run today. Screen looked miserable. Jumped onto Unilocal and found these folks just a few blocks from where I was staying. I walked in and was greeted by 4 awesome people with smiles. Within seconds my phone was being repaired. Within 30 minutes I was back on the road. Great work, awesome service and amazing delivery.

So I brought my phone hear for a cracked screen. The place is clean and the people are friendly. They told me that it would take 45 minutes to fix my iPhone. They gave me the option to stay or come back. There is a coffee shop Volt that is just around the corner… maybe 2 blocks. The store is pretty comfortable, so I stayed. It was ready in 30 min. Kudos to myPhoneMD for savvy expectation management.
Screen looked great. I was pumped. Price was reasonable.
Unfortunately, my screen would get this rainbow coloring across the replaced screen periodically. It wasn’t terrible but it was a nuisance. I called and spoke with my screen repair guy. He didn’t know what to make of it but encouraged me to come back in with the phone. Of course, I couldn’t reproduce the defect when I brought it in, but one of the girls working said she had seen it on other phones. She thought it was related to [insert tech speak] and said she’d take care of it free of charge. Nothing better than $free.99. After 30 minutes, she had me operational again. It’s worked perfectly since.
Also, for my 2^nd trip, Shari V came with me. She picked their brains about an issue she has when using her headphones. They gave her some free advice and even cleaned the headphone jack while we talked. I thought it was a nice touch.

I can’t believe they fixed my iPad screen so beautifully. I mean, I cracked the hell out of it… dented the side… the whole 9. It’s like nearly new and they did it quickly. Same day. And, every employee I’ve interacted with has been a genuinely pleasant person. This is your place.

Repaired my cracked screen in 45 minutes. Service was great. Price was cheaper than other stores I called beforehand. Highly recommend.

I love/​am hopelessly shackled to my iPhone and try to treat it like the 500 $ pocket computer magic space phone it is. So the other day when my screen popped off for no explainable reason (cue 1970’s slasher flick screaming, because that’s what I felt like doing) I immediately went to the Apple site to schedule a consultation/​repair at the Lakeside store. It was Monday morning. The next appointment available to me was at 8:50pm… Thursday evening. I very begrudgingly booked the appointment while telling myself that I’d be fine. It was only three and a half days, and anyway, maybe it wouldn’t be the worst thing actually having a conversation with my coworkers? Instead of plugging in the moment I sat down at my desk and spending the next 8 hours listening to podcasts, maybe this was my chance to be a team player!
…I spent the remainder of the day listening to my nearest-​seated coworker verbally reply to all of her emails before she actually typed them, and my three nearest coworkers all play the same country music radio station at varying levels of volume. There was absolutely NO way I was going to make it to Thursday night if the best I could hope for was more of this. I am only human, and a flawed one at that.
Cue me frantically searching for an off-​market iPhone repair shop and finding myPhone MD. The reviews were encouraging! I got there at 10:01 the next morning (they open at 10) and was advised that not only did my screen need to be replaced but the battery was bloated and needed to be swapped out as well. Something about iPhones being shitty? (Not my words, dear spacePhone, you know I love you so) I feared the worst but the guy behind the counter told me he could fix it all in about forty five minutes. Forty five minutes! I sat down on the comfy couch in the waiting area, picked up the latest issue of National Geographic that was on the coffee table, and settled in. Miles Davis’ «So What» was playing on the radio. So chill. I was barely finished reading the feature on the fossils found in South Africa that suggest a new species of prehistoric man (h. Naledi, in case you want to go down a google rabbit hole like I did) when I heard the gentleman say the best four words in the universe: «Your phone is ready.»
It had only been a half hour. Not even the forty five minutes I’d initially been told. I was at first incredulous, and then pleasantly surprised — not only was my phone indeed in tiptop shape again, I was only out 130 $ for my troubles (thanks, Unilocal check in). Apple would have made me replace my phone entirely. I don’t know that I’ll ever go to another phone repair place again. Especially since they guarantee their services for 90 days and their parts for a year. Who can beat that?
I went back to my office that afternoon (after stopping for lunch at Lilly’s, which is right next door) and spent the rest of the day in headphone’d bliss, since I could no longer hear my coworkers having very in depth conversations with their computers. What a relief.
TL, DR: my phone broke, my coworkers are way too chatty, the waiting area has good magazines, they fixed my phone, it was super fast and cheap, I didn’t go crazy.

So, I was really happy with the service, that doesn’t change. But people should just be aware that one day you might go plug your phone to charge, go take a nap, and wake up to your iPhone being unusable due to the display failing. So, it was great while it lasted, but my hand was eventually forced to have to buy a new phone.

The service and staff are great here. I had my iphone 5 screen shattered when I brought it in and dropped it off. It was about $ 119 (with tax) and I had a brand new looking phone in about 45 minutes. I went down the street to Juan’s for a burrito and when I came back I was good to go! I don’t know what took me so long to take care of it. I will definitely bring any of my apple products here if I need anything repaired.

I just had the best experience ever. I had to have the screen of my iPhone 6 replaced. The repair took less than the 45 minutes promised. The store is conveniently located on Magazine Street. It is probably the cleanest establishment I’ve been in. Everything was exceptional. Conrad and his staff are superb. This store is, without question, better than the facility in Lakeside Mall that shall remain nameless. They also have a nice selection of chargers, screen protectors, and phone cases. I checked in through this app and receive 10% off of my repair. They also took 10% off of my screen protector because I had a screen repair done. I have no need to go anywhere else besides this store when it comes to my iPhone.

My husband’s phone screen is mashed during our trip. We followed the Unilocal recommendation to the store. The owner is really nice and super helpful to solve the problem

So my phone gets the dreaded black screen was in New Orleans so checked Unilocal for a decent repair shop. Knowing I am going to pay more than similar shops than those in Atlanta I went out to Magazine St to myPhoneMD.
Price is high a lot higher than those in other cities, I had my son’s screen changed and repaired for $ 99 in Atlanta but in New Orleans it was $ 163 so that soured me a bit, also the repair that was done messy. Had bond residue along the edges of phone. You would think if I paid that much one wouldn’t have to clean the phone after repair, but that is what I had to do. Clean off all the bond residue wasn’t fun. Sticky…
Either way, next time, I think I will just wait to get home and to have any done service done.

Very fast and not too expensive. Brought my iPhone 6 plus here today for a screen repair. It was good as new within the hour and cost about $ 160 after tax. Lowest price in the city with the exception of the Apple Store ($ 140). Would definitely recommend.

I was in the middle of a DIY job– replacing the charger port on my phone — when one of my screws stripped. I did everything I could to no avail. Thinking all hope was lost, I hung my head and brought all of my gear in.
To my surprise, not only did they help me out, they were also SUPER nice about it, and NOT pushy at the least (most shadier businesses would try to convince you to let them finish the rest of the job or «fix» your mistakes for buttloads of money). In 20 minutes, they had taken care of the rogue screw and I was back on my merry way home to finish my job. (Did I mention that they also gave me candy?)
You can tell they were super knowledgable and it felt good to talk to people who actually cared! Looking back, I kind of wish I had just brought my phone in to them in the first place. This place is now the top of my list if anything is to go wrong with my phone ever again.

I got into town on Sunday afternoon traveling with two dogs and I got out of my car only to drop my iPhone flat on it’s face!!! (Ughhh)… I ended up coming to Unilocal trying to find me a company that can quickly get me in and right back out without wasting away my day…
I was glad to find this place, great employees, clean store, and did I say FAST SERVICE!!! I can’t remember his name I think it was Bryan or Ryan??? (Sorry) he made my transaction painless and quick! Less then 20 minutes and I walked out with a new screen & a new case haha!!!
