History

Established in 2013.

We are a group of university graduates who grew up in New Orleans and moved to Colorado for college. We began moving other students in Colorado when we were students ourselves and have since moved back home to New Orleans where we continue to help happy customers move from one house to another.

These guys are fantastic! After buying a couch I was dismayed to learn the store didn’t provide an in-​house delivery solution however upon a quick search on Unilocal Moving Nola appeared on my radar. Figuring why not I sent them a message requesting a quote on Unilocal and they replied within the next hour! Even better they came out the next day and quickly accomplished the move. Not only did they provide excellent service (couch was delivered to my apartment) they did it quicker and cheaper than all of the alternatives I researched. I will absolutely use them again if I need movers in New Orleans and I highly recommend their services to anyone looking.

Wow! Thankyou Katie, Erin and Donnie!!! You all did a great job of keeping our belongings safe and sound while moving them up old stairs to a 3rd floor apartment! Special thanks for getting our couch into the apartment with perseverance (and removing the legs ;). We are at the top of a curved stairwell and I am pretty sure you saved this grateful couples relationship HAHAHAAAA! We’d never have made it through this day without blood sweat and tears and the 3 of you made it look like a good day at the gym.
Also much thanks to John for all the prompt responses and communications and flexible rescheduling when we had to change dates just a few days beforehand. Prices were reasonable and clearly stated beforehand and payment was simple. We will definitely use your company again.

Thank you to Moving Nola for all of their help last week! From the time I first called to book the service, these guys were nothing but helpful. They answered all of my questions and got back to me quickly when I had questions before the move, and were amazing the day of our move. They made an extra pickup stop for us and were able to take all of our furniture and big boxes from a three story house uptown to the fourth floor of an apartment downtown. They even carried the couch up four flights of stairs when it wouldn’t fit in the elevator. They also were very quick for the amount of stuff/​distance we were moving, and they took care to protect our furniture. And they were nice and very friendly the entire time. I would definitely recommend using their service and when I move again (hopefully not soon) I will call them!

Nobody likes moving. It takes forever, it makes you realize you’re not that strong after all and, as if that wasn’t insulting enough, it costs a pretty penny. But there is a solution! Moving NOLA made it all look easy and I never felt more useless. They were fast, but careful with my things. And they didn’t charge me an arm and a leg. Just a couple toes I don’t even use. Did I mention the riveting conversations? I mean, we talked about Ghostbusters! Basically, 10 out of 10 dentists would recommend. Thanks, John and Laurence!

They did a really great job. We moved from a shotgun to a second story apartment and had a large sectional, among a dozen other things that filled their truck. These guys knocked it out in 1.5 hours. The invoice came in under what they actually quoted, which is like Unicorn status as far as professional services go.
These guys make Mike Tyson look like an idiot baby and batman look like a bowl of mashed potatoes.
Hire them.

John is great. I had these guys move my apartment and it was nice that the person moving my stuff was also the person I spoke to when I made the appointment, I felt comfortable with them around, they finished in three hours and I even texted John a few days later when I bought furniture I couldn’t get to my second floor. He came that day even though he had almost back to back appointments.

These guys are awesome. I can’t say enough good things about them. They arrived right on time and were so nice, professional, and CAREFUL. I was moving from a spot that had tricky parking, and they were so nice and accommodating about it. They also moved my one bedroom in record speed. My furniture included an old, restored record player, and they took such good care of it, wrapping it in both blankets and plastic. I certainly appreciated their professionalism, and I’d definitely hire them again. I plan to recommend them to anyone needing movers in the future. They deserve more than just five stars.

I can’t say enough positive things about Moving NOLA! I called to get an appointment on Wednesday, and they were able to accommodate a Saturday one bed apartment move.
They were VERY professional and properly prepared my items to be removed and put into my new place.
And ladies… for what it’s worth… both movers were hot! I would certainly use Moving NOLA again and refer them to anyone who might need the service.

The cat who almost got away! Moving NOLA arrived on time and did a great job, nothing broken or lost and all arrived intact, we have a cat and his name is Lagniappe, he disappeared at the start of loading the truck and I searched around the neighborhood for hours, in my household this cat may be more important than me! 7 hours later after Moving Nola unloaded my belongings and me giving up on finding the cat in the old neighborhood Lagniappe came out of the couch looking around the new house like he just had a good nap. Anyways thanks to Moving Nola for a great move and getting my kitty home safely

Absolutely excellent. These guys showed up promptly at our start time and even adjusted their entire day around our needs. They were flexible, efficient, and most of all super nice! We moved a massive amount of stuff and not one thing was broken or lost. The price was totally reasonable considering the hard work and time John and his team put into the move. The entire day could have been stressful and miserable and was actually a fun time because of their great spirits. 100% recommended!

John and his crew were so unbelievably quick and so nice! Because they’re so cheap I expected them to be careless but they actually called me to remind me about the move and to discuss some weather concerns and handled all of my belongings with the upmost care. The BEST movers you can find! These guys were professional, honest, courteous, efficient, AFFORDABLE and cute (if that matters???). They safely moved my furniture from uptown to Algiers and QUICKLY!
