Launch Pad NOLA

Awesome staff. Very welcoming and were great about hosting us while in town for a day.

Very cool office spaces. Lots for rent. Private conference rooms and communal copy machines. You can rent a cubical type office space which just has a private desk and chair with a private telephone. Or you can rent a bigger more private office space with a door.
Each space comes with a phone and access to a copier and voicemail is included. You can schedule a time in the conference room for big meetings. Each floor has it’s own private conference room. Elevators to all floors.
Smoking deck/​balcony that over looks downtown and on the top floor is a gym. The building has 24 hour access. As long as you have your passcode to get in you’re allowed in anytime you want.
There are tons of first time business/​new business owners/​workers. The people here are very friendly and you never know who you’re going to run into or what business they are running!
Great location, central to all of downtown. No private parking but you can always take a street car, walk or taxi and park in a parking garage. Off street parking is available by parking meter.

Just rolled into NOLA and thought I’d drop in at Launchpad to meet a deadline. I am sitting here. There is no staff here, no direction as to what to do if there is no staff here. Members sort of stared blankly at me and then ignored me. On a deadline, can’t get online, no idea what to do. I worked at a coworking space myself, so I get casual, but I resent wasting a half hour of work time.

I was in New Orleans for a couple days and needed a comfy place to work with wifi and clean toilets. LaunchPad provided much more. I met a bunch of great folks, got free pizza for lunch, and a taste of the new entrepreneurialism of NOLA. The work space has the vibe of a San Francisco coworking space: young, committed folks using technology to do something exciting, and making coffee for each other. Definitely a great place to connect and be productive.

Was surprised that Launch Pad didn’t have a Unilocal listing, and found it necessary to add one because I keep trying to check in there…
Launch Pad is hard to categorize, because it’s much more than an event venue – it’s a coworking space, the headquarters of a growing collection of startups, and a community of entrepreneurs working to make New Orleans a better place.
If you’re a freelance consultant, small business owner, or someone who works from home, Launch Pad is an excellent option for a more professional workspace; you can have meetings with clients in an actual conference room, rather than at a coffee shop or in your living room. (It does make a difference, by the way. My business has grown significantly since I became a member of Launch Pad, thanks to referrals from other LP members and also to the professional work environment and resources available via LP’s network of entrepreneurs.)
Membership rates are reasonable, and more than worth the investment if you’re looking for an opportunity to help your business grow. You don’t have to sign a 5-​year commercial lease, because memberships are month-​to-​month. Come check it out for a day, for free, and see what you think.
