Joe is a great massage therapist. I’ve been getting massages from him for years, and have always been happy and relaxed after a session with him. He’s very well educated about anatomy and can always identify the places that I’m holding tension in my body. If one spot is too tender, he will switch techniques to relieve the tension. He’s also a trained yoga instructor, so after a session, he will go over stretches and strength-​building exercises I can do to help prevent some of the cramps and knots I get regularly.

Joe is a very good massage therapist. He has a background in yoga and strength-​training, and is also very well read/​studied, so that it is easy to imagine him being a good teacher of massage as well. I usually have a fair amount of questions and Joe never fails with thought provoking and elaborate responses. He helped me work out issues around my IT band. The first half of the session usually consists of an interesting and humorous conversation, and the second half I’m asleep, due to being so relaxed. He even referred me to a German chiropractor, who, when I said I was seeing Joe, said, in her thick accent, «Very good massage therapist!»

I am a dancer /​performer who wants more out of a massage than just to «relax» and when I asked my friends who I should go to they all recommended Joe! He knew how I use my body and where I needed the most attention, and then addressed all of the places that might be causing the problem /​taking the brunt of that pain. He knows how to fix problems you didn’t even know you had, and also gave me helpful exercises /​stretches to do at home to help keep my body feeling better in general.
Nothing but good things to say about this man — if you use your body and need help from someone who knows tons about anatomy and is actually invested in seeing you be a healthy and strong, this is your guy!
