Hattie Sparks

Three stars because the layout and concept of the store is stylish and I believe in supporting local business. That being said I think they either need to buy in larger quantities or purchase a wider range of products. The store seems to be lacking in inventory. I would love to have purchased something, but there were very few sizes or items. Sad panda.

Love this shop! Hattie Sparks has an amazing array of items from local brands and artists. Perfect place to find locally inspired gifts for others as well as yourself. Hattie, Elise and the rest of the team are wonderful — super friendly and always eager to help when I’ve needed it.

Such a cool little shop! The local selection they have is just wonderful! Hattie clearly puts a great deal of thought into the items she selects, I literally want to buy all of the things! As far as customer services goes, you just can’t beat the personal attention! Such a pleasant experience all around! Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit!

I recently purchased Christmas gifts for both of my sisters from Hattie Sparks, and was happy with the entire process. I was easily able to find some neat items on their website, and then received a personal email when the items were available for in-​store pickup (I saved shipping that way!). The store has a great selection of knick-​knacks and gifts, it’s not just a clothing store. I’d highly recommend checking out the store if you’re looking for a unique, local gift.

This store is adorable. Great atmosphere for shopping and amazing place to get things for your home as well as clothes. The owner and staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Best boutique in New Orleans in my opinion!

This is a great local boutique. Whenever I need to get a present for my wife or female friends I stop here and the sales ladies are always incredibly helpful and friendly. They seem to go out of their way to ensure good customer service unlike lots of big chain stores etc. I can get a nice present and knock the card out here too since they have a great selection of cards that are very unique and look a lot better than something I’d get at Walgreens. I also will admit that I’ve bought more than one of the locally themed candles here «as a present». Great place to go and make it seem like you put more thought into a gift than you actually did!

I have been shopping at Hattie Sparks since it opened on Adams Street. The new location is very nice! Much larger space and I love the décor! They offer a wide variety of clothing and home goods. I am always pleasantly surprised with the experience I have while shopping. The staff is very personable and so willing to help you find exactly what you need. If you are in the CBD– definitely stop in and check out what they have. You will probably walk out with a bag full of goodies! :)

In response to Jessica L’s review, I manage a local boutique in New Orleans and 99.9% of all boutiques in the city will have a no refund return policy after 2 weeks of time. Local stores can’t afford to issue full refunds. This should be a well known fact. Secondly, you can bring your krewe sunglasses to the krewe store on Royal and they will adjust them for you. Krewe sunglasses are made with Italian acetate which means they are prone to bending with any heat ! This is not hattie sparks fault. You have to adjust them. The return policy online says that any IN STORE purchases must be returned for store credit only. It is slightly misleading with the shipping return policy but it does state that you cannot get a full refund with in store purchases.
Lastly, this store is adorable. The customer service is great and it’s definitely a must see for locals and tourists. I love shopping there and I definitely recommend it to anyone. Don’t let «Jessica l» sway you not to go there. Shop local and definitely go check out Hattie sparks !

Extremely disappointed with the return policy. I purchased a pair of krewe sunglasses and when I got home realized they did not fit my face properly. Less than 48 hours later I tried to return them to the store and seek a refund but was told that I can only receive store credit. The return policy online states that you can receive a full refund if returned within 15 days. Apparently the return policy on the e-​receipt that was emailed to me says exchanges for store credit within 15 days. There is NO SIGNAGE in the store re the return policy. I didn’t like the other style sunglasses available and am now stuck with a $ 250 store credit. I work right by the store and pop in all of the time and would have made purchases in excess of $ 250 if I was refunded my money this time. I’m pretty disgusted with the whole situation and will not shop there again after I use up my $ 250 store credit. I will be spreading the word to all of my downtown coworkers and friends to beware if they shop at Hattie sparks and to just buy your krewe sunglasses directly from krewe (who WILL issue a full refund if the glasses don’t work out). Totally bummed and expected more from this store.
