This morning:3/11/14, bus 300, while driving on Whitney, took off from picking up a child in the right lane. With no signals, it cut in front of the SUV in the left lane. If the SUV driver had not slammed on their breaks(almost causing an accident with the car in front of me, and behind them), the bus would have collided with the SUV. At the left turn light going to the on-ramp to the CCC, the bus did not stop to wait for traffic and instead cut in front of the on-coming traffic(which had right of way). Again, if the other drivers had not slammed on their breaks(again almost causing accidents in the wet streets) they would have hit the bus. Twice in less than 3 minutes, their driver put the lives of children at risk as well as the lives of other drivers. I really hope your children are not riding Hammond’s Transportation buses. It seems they do not vet drivers very well. And I did email the company about that driver. Will update when/if I get a response.
