Exxon On the Run

Like other Unilocalers have noted, the gas here tends to be higher than other gas stations in the area. However, I had an immediate need for gas and this was the place I landed. I’m not opposed to paying a tad more in these situations, however, if I get in this bind again in the future… I plan on running on fumes until I hit another spot down the street. Regardless of the police vehicle and officer in the shop, it didn’t stop the homeless person, DRINKING A BEER, acosting me for money. I don’t think so fella.

Boy I wish I could give this hellhole of a gas station 0 stars…
As another reviewer said, I only stop here if i absolutely need to, and the only two times I’ve filled up here, the (2 different) pumps filled at about 1 gallon per 5 – 6 minutes (meaning their pump filters are EXTREMELY dirty, and the fuel is probably dirty and harming your vehicle), and both times, the auto shutoff did not work, resulting in puddles of gas on my car, my shoes, and my wheels which were plasti dipped both times, and gas strips plasti dip, so it ruined the paint jobs on my wheel.
Also the annoying homeless people who ironically seem to live here will pester the hell out of you for money and if you don’t cave to their demands, they give you an attitude

Not only is the gas here higher, but malfunctioning pumps (hello, you gotta walk inside & pay) & begging vagrants make this an UNdesirable location.
I attended Xavier University right down the street & this loitering situation has gotten worse, ughhhh. Hello, there’s a code/​lock on the bathroom door, does that explain things; it should.
I only stop here in extreme emergency-​like situations, i.e. the Costco truck refueling across the street & my gas tank was on NEGATIVE E.

I’m not super fond of this location since I’ve been hassled by the loiterers here. But I thought it would be safe to stop in the middle of the day in the bright sunshine.
Of course, I had the nieces in the car who started a slapfight with each other and I had to intervene. THAT’s when I discovered the auto-​shutoff on the gas pump did NOT work.
I blame the gas station and the children.

Ok, I took off one star because this gas station is located on a super busy intersection right before I-​10 so it can be difficult getting in and out. I always take the back way (Washington) vs. Carrollton because I don’t want to be stuck forever and people can be jerks about letting you back on the street.
Anywho, pardon my road rage tirade (hehe) and this in my very humble opinion is the cheapest name brand gas in the greater Uptown area. It also has an air pump (which I haven’t used) and a convenience store). There is always a line but I normally don’t wait long because word is out that this is the cheapest joint in the neighborhood!
If you don’t believe you can ask my bestie (not on Unilocal so I guess you’re screwed) who basically told me when I moved into the neighborhood two years ago that this is the cheapest place for gas).
Now I’m saving my 5 stars for the cheapest gas station on the Westbank which is cheaper than here (Exxon with the Brothers chicken on Gen. de Gaulle).
