History

Established in 2015.

I started the first gourmet hotdog company in New Orleans after 14 years s «The Hotdog King of the United Kingdom» in London. Dis & Dem was the natural lead on for me. I was Executive Chef of 34 Surrey St. and Red Peppers Bar & Grill in London (that’s how I got there). New Orleans is home. Dis & Dat’s sole purpose is to recapture the feel and taste of New Orleans with a heart and soul. We are all about people and the best damn burger & slider joint in «The City that Care Forgot». Skip Murray, Founder of Dat Dog (no longer associated) and Dis & Dem

Meet the Business Owner

Skip Murray M.

Business Owner

Skip, a native New Orleanian, lived for 30 years in the United Kingdom. Skip was a consultant, Executive Chef of London’s finest Fish & Seafood Restaurant, 34 Surrey St. in London. He became the «Hotdog King of the United Kingdom» which is a long story in itself. He returned to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina to rebuild his uptown home. He started in a 475 square foot shed on Freret St. as Dat Dog… a European Sausage & Weiner Company featuring gourmet hotdogs (for lack of a better word). He sold his interest in that company and started Dis & Dem in 2015 which is a gourmet burger & slider food establishment in Mid City, New Orleans.
