Dee’s Coffee

Love this place for downtown business meetings. Very comfortable, laid back staff, and good coffee. Especially like the Mexican Hot Chocolate. Pastries are ordinary, so stick with the beverages. Cool local on the walls as well.

Great coffee with very friendly service. No charge for a refill which was awesome! We will return when we are in town.

After I read good reviews from Dee’s Coffee I tried just normal latte.
I was a barista, so I have little knowledge about latte. But they just gave me combined hot and cold espresso and hot milk. Where is my micro foam lady? Micro Foam plz~
Just waste of money for a coffee. Taste bad.

I wanted some good coffee. I’m from the northwest where the options are plentiful. Dees had good service and a great environment the coffee was pretty good too. I had a mocha which would be best described as a latte with dark chocolate flavor. It ain’t no Starbucks

why does this get good reviews? the service was straight up rude (was not allowed to change my order even though the coffee had not been made but because she had simply rung up the order). I got a coffee au lait witch is not made with espresso. tasted terrible– burnt and over heated

Found this place when PJ’s nearby was closed on a Sunday. Came in late morning and nobody else was around but there was a Saints game that day so that’s most likely the reason. Ordered a large iced latte (for the check-​in coupon) and a bagel with cream cheese. You have to toast the bagel yourself which isn’t a big deal but if you’re in a hurry then you should keep that in mind. Staff was friendly and there was a lot of seating. Coffee and bagel were good and bonus points to them for having stevia! Overall, a decent option if you’re in the area.

Needed one last pick-​me-​up on the last day of our trip. Surprisingly, the nearby PJs was closed on a Sunday, so this was the next best option.
Unilocal check-​in deal gives 10% off a regular or iced large latte. There were only a few pastries left so settled on the Cinnamon Muffin and an Iced Latte (total $ 6ish with discount). Muffin was good despite it being one of the last items, yet super sweet from all the cinnamon. I balanced it out by putting very little sweetener in the latte, which made for a nice combination.
Decent place overall, though closes pretty early on a Sunday. Coffee wasn’t too strong though, as I was fading a few hours later.

Nice little coffee shop with alright regular coffee and unfortunately not a great selection of food; the pumpkin bread was a bit on the dry side and for my taste a bit sweet… Tomorrow I’ll go back to Addiction :)

Decent little coffee shop. I ordered the hot Moroccan Mint Tea and oddly it had an incredibly disturbing bitter taste that in it familiar with. Not sure what happened.
The offer pastry m, fruit and few soft drinks, no other fare is offered.

Our hotel we stayed at didn’t have a mini coffee maker in our room but that’s okay bc walking distance down the street we found Dee’s Coffee Café! Yuri needs her coffee in the morning or she can be a little difficult, to put it nicely. My closest friends only knows what that entails. Anyways, 10% off with Unilocal Check-​in on a large order of latte (cold or hot)?! Sweet! Let’s Do This!

By my rating, I’m sure you can guess I enjoyed everything I ordered. My Cortado & Café Au Lait had enough oomph to keep me going and keep me in check. I have to mention though… Damn, those mini apple pies stole my heart! I’m still dreaming mini apple pies and remembering each bite! Another project to add in my kitchen, thanks Dee!
My friend and I bumped into Dee on the streets in front of Victory Bar. She remembered us from the other day and we chatted for a bit. I think it’s awesome Dee decided to come back to her hometown to bring business into NOLA with her sister after spending some time in NY. I’m happy to spread the love here! Looking forward to my next visit!

Dee’s makes amazing Cajun hot chocolate. I’m Mexican and we also make hot chocolate spicy, it made me feel super nostalgic drinking up this deliciousness…

I loved this coffee shop! I loved the local art in there. Every city has their local coffee shop that has that «it» factor that really reps that city and I think this is it for NOLA. I can’t say anything about the coffee, but I got a matcha green tea latte and it was perfect.

When traveling, I try to find a local coffee shop. This place had mixed reviews so I was anxious to try. I am glad that I walked over to try this place. This is where the locals go with a great vibe. A Nola place that immediately feels like you’re in this great city. Local artists display their work, with lots of windows to see the street outside. If I stay nearby next trip, I will stop in again.

This place isnt bad at all. Close to our hotel so we walked over and even though we’ve been to nola 100 times had never been here. It quiet, not great ambiance at all but wow, the rocket fuel will get you moving with a shake in your step! We had 2 rockets fuels to go and pretty sure we walked canal st in record time after that juice!

Visited Dee’s daily while I was staying across the street at Le Pavillion. I was there in July, so I mostly stuck with a simple black iced coffee which had a great flavor and was really robust. My husband had the café au lait one morning, which he loved as well.
Great coffee, local independent business. Much better than the starbucks further down the street. Thanks, Dee!

Never go there again!!! I ordered iced brewed coffee and it tasted so terrible. I’m a coffee freak and this coffeeshop is the worse ever!

After reading mixed reviews from Unilocal,my cousin and I decided to try the coffee. I have to say, we were disappointed. Very disappointed, the Americano did not taste like coffee at all. The hotel Le Pavilion has better coffee in the lobby. Customer service was not good at all, not friendly or welcoming. We will not return to the shop or recommend anyone to go.

Dee’s Coffee Shop is located across from Le Pavilion Hotel which was very convenient for us since we were staying there for a few nights. It’s a great local shop with good coffee and tasty baked goods. The barista wasn’t the friendliest towards us but I can overlook that for good coffee. I ordered a rocket fuel which isn’t on the menu but I read about it from other fellow Unilocalers. It’s a mix of cold brew coffee and shots of espresso so it’s pretty strong which is exactly how I like my coffee. I also had a banana nut muffin which was surprisingly good; it was moist and sweet but not overly so. There’s plenty of seating in the coffee shop if you want to work, read, or just hang out.

Seriously the best coffee ever!
When you talk about Dee’s coffee specifically with your bosses and they AGREE with your recommendation — YOU know Dee’s has the IT factor.

Playing at the Civic and needed some good coffee STAT. Unilocal told me that Dee’s was the closest, best rated coffee so me and 2 others headed over there. walking in I was kind of nervous. I’m so used to equating frou frou places for good places and this had no frou. My friends got a red eye and I got the cold brew and BOY were we all amazed. The coffee is strong, but flavorful. in the most unassuming place– I mean, there’s a desk at the end of the space. The lady was nice and made a great coffee! It really made me learn not to judge a book by it’s cover! Go here, get an americano, a redeye, a cold brew. whatever your heart desires. because it will be fabulous.
