Specialties

Davillier Photography & Graphics has been serving the greater New Orleans area for four years. We specialize in contemporary portraiture for weddings, babies/​children, teens, high school seniors, families, and pets. In addition, we specialize in commercial photography and portfolio photography for models and actors. On the graphic design side, we offer both print and web design for business owners to help define your brand and bring new customers. At DPG, we get to know our clients and their needs personally, and we deliver great customer service and top quality products. In a nutshell, we are always ready for your closeup. Saturdays are available by appointment only.

History

Established in 2009.

Davillier Photography & Graphics is the brainchild of Ursuline Academy and New York University Alum, Lacy Davillier. In 2009, she chose end her career as a freelancer and open a shop in New Orleans. Now run by Lacy and her mother and sister, the mission of DPG is to offer quality products to persons and businesses and to be there for our clients at every turn.

For me, photography and graphic design represent my art and my passions. I developed an affinity for art (mostly painting) at Ursuline Academy during my middle and high school years. However, it was during my sophomore year at NYU that I first picked up a camera — and upon developing my first black and white photograph, I knew I was hooked. The darkroom was a sanctuary separated from the blaring noise of the city where I felt able to truly create my art. Shortly thereafter, I discovered the world of digital photography and graphic design and became a self-​proclaimed addict. I obtained my BFA in Studio Art with a Photography and Graphic Design concentration (and a minor in French) from New York University. My life’s path led me back to New Orleans. My computer has now replaced the darkroom, pencils, and paints, and every day, I am privileged to do a job for which I have a true passion.

I was extremely pleased with my experience at DPG! My Groupon deal was amazing and my holiday photos are gorgeous! The staff does a great job with infants, communication if any scheduling delays occur and prompt product delivery.

Lacy and staff are very professional. They did a wonderful job on my Boudoir Photo shoot. After a horrible experience with another company. Daviller Photography really changed my perspective on photographers in a wonderful way! The makeup artist was fantastic! My husband loved the little black book. We will be back for maternity and birth announcement pictures. You wont go wrong with them!!! Top of the line!

I purchased the Boudoir Photo Shoot Groupon as a gift for my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day. I was a little iffy about the idea of doing a scantily-​clad and/​or nude photo shoot, but Lacy made me feel COMPLETELY comfortable the entire time. Her photography skills – and her Photoshop skills! – were phenomenal, and I was totally wowed by the end product… as was my boyfriend! The make-​up artist did a fantastic job, as well. Also, even though it was really last-​minute, Lacy made sure she got it done for me on the 13th. She’s really friendly and down-​to-​earth, and the entire process was enjoyable. And she somehow she managed to make me look like a model! Very impressive. :)

I purchased a Groupon back towards the end of October for a 1 hour photo session and some Christmas cards. I’m not really the type of person to dress up my baby in some absurd dress for the sake of taking some photos… but figured since this wasn’t some department store photo studio, we’d be able to get a bit more casual and creative. I was right.
Lacy was fabulous, allowing us to do a combination of casual shots with our 1 year old and snap a few by the Christmas set up for cards. There was one unfortunate mishap where the baby destroyed a Christmas decoration from the tree, but Lacy and everyone else at the studio handled it like a pro. Same with the few cranky outbursts that occured towards the end of the session.
The photos turned out amazingly well. We received a call and email that the Christmas cards were ready about a week after the photo shoot, and then the extra prints that I ordered a few days after the cards. This gave me time to send out the cards with a few days to spare — even the ones that I sent via UPS to my family in Canada! The prints are proudly on display in my office and in our living room. Others will soon be given to the grandparents.
All in all, a great experience. I did have the Groupon, but from glancing over the regular prices while I was there, I do believe it is competitively priced.
