Nice little dive bar. It was a good escape from the heat. They had a nice selection of beers if you’re a beer drinker(I’m not.) Its a typical dive bar.

This is a great laid back dive bar with very friendly bartenders. She made my friend her speciality drink which was a variation of a hurricane. Go ask for Laura. The Bloody Mary was great too!

‘Let me take you to my favorite new bar,’ says my fun seeking Sista. Walking in New Orleans on a hot sticky crowded sunny day, my Sista sees a neatly tucked away bar from the dirty street, peaks her pretty head through and is drawn into the luxuriously well air conditioned darkly lit bar. What a surprise treat! $ 5 great Bloody Mary with vegetable infused vodka and pickled okra(see photo). Awe. Hits the spot. My Sista has good taste and she was right. This was exactly the cool a$$ spot we needed to retreat, ingest nice drinks, and enjoy fun friendly interesting camaraderie building barkeep all in serene comfort and fun vibes that resemble a nice olé bar we would like to be a regular. I’m upset we don’t have more days to come back to this bar. Claire’s Pour we will be fly back just to see you soon. I promise.

We had a great time at this bar! The BF and I decided that our spring break trip to NOLa would be a great time to elope. Just the two of us in an amazing city. Stopped in at Claire’s in the middle of the day on a Monday because it looked like a good place to get out of the sun and grab a drink. We love bars that are laid back, and relaxed with down-to-earth people. This place was perfect for that. We ordered J.T.‘s specialty drink of the day which was delicious! And sat there for about 5 mins before we started chatting with a couple people at the end of the bar. They were eating a huge pot of crawfish and immediately asked us if we’d like to share. Being northerners we had to have J.T. give us directions on how to properly eat the crawfish… I’m thinking I need a bit more practice, but do suck the head! The woman who offered to share turned out to be Claire! At some point we mentioned that we were getting married in the French Quarter in a couple days and were quickly invited back. Of course, we did return and had a blast. I guess you could say we had part of our impromptu«reception» at Claire’s and couldn’t have picked a better place for us. Everyone was so friendly, taking pictures, and joking around. Can’t wait to go back!

A cheap, respectable place to hang out in the Quarter and get yourself a drink or 8. I typically find myself here when I am gearing up for a show at the House of Blues, because I don’t feel like paying out the noise for any drink I get at the venue. The bartenders are always polite. Also, this place is very dog friendly. Personally, I am not a fan of animals or children in bars, but I know some people just got to take their 4-legged friends with them anywhere they go, and this place is super cool with it. Every time I have been, there has been a lot of smokers, so if cigarette smoke bothers you, you may want to take a rain check. So, between damp dogs and cigarette smokes and booze, the place smells a lot like my dead aunt’s old apartment, but it is definitely a nice place to go and enjoy your Sunday, if that doesn’t bother you.

Where the locals go in the quarter… great prices and Claire is just phenomenal! I looove her! This is our go to when we go to the French Quarter… this is where we feel like home. J.T. and Jeffrey are awesome! Wii bowling is always a plus as well!

Loved Claire’s Pour House. Super dog friendly, lots of treats for the pups. We talked to Claire for quite a while and really enjoyed her New Orleans knowledge and sarcasm. Toby was behind the bar and good fun as well. We love places that have down to earth people, reasonably priced drinks, and chilled out atmospheres. This was one of those places.

Watched some of the Super Bowl here and had a nice time. We were looking for somewhere that was not filled to the brim with people. We wanted to sit down and be able to watch the game, have some drinks, and grab some food. We got to do two out of three of those things considering they dont have food. Since we were starving, we asked if it would be ok to bring in some food from another place nearby and they were totally ok with that. The service was really friendly and the drinks were cheap.

A friend and I stayed in NOLA for a week. After we tired of Bourbon st. we wandered off to the edges of the quarter and found this gem. A great bar with an amazing bartender. Claire is funny as all hell and she can make a drink. She’s a real NOLA girl right down to the accent. She entertained us with ghost stories about the city as well as some good banter all the times we were in there. She took good care of us every time we came in, giving great local food recommendations as well as any of our other needs. It’s a bar with mostly locals but everyone was friendly and even bought us drinks when they learned we were out of towners. The last couple nights of being there we would walk Bourbon for a couple drinks and hunker down the rest of the night at Claire’s. And I know you’re going to read this Claire, Jackson and Quaid say Hello!

If you’re looking for a fun, local dive bar, Claire’s Pour House is for you. It’s a nice break from the mayhem of Bourbon Street. Cheap drinks, nice bartenders. They could use more selection on their jukebox, but that’s my only gripe.
