Chez Palmiers Bed and Breakfast

We booked the Grand Suite for 3 nights and were very pleased with the space. Initial impression was the TV should be in the sitting room, but at the end of our stay we realized we never turned on the TV so who cares. Schuyler and David are very gracious hosts and provide their personal guidebook to nearby restaurants, markets, etc. We never went anywhere without it! We brought our bikes, but the location is such that we only walked. Definitely a great value.

My girlfriend and I stayed here 2nights the for the Falcons and Saints game weekend and it was a great stay. Our check-​in was delayed bc David and Schuyler arrived from out of town later than expected but they made sure we were able to store our bags at their friends neighboring bed and breakfast. We stayed in the loft and it’s spacious for 2 people; you have everything that you need in the room. We only ate breakfast 1x but it was good and plenty! I defiantly recommend Chez Palmiers and I would definitely stay again!

Charming, Lovely B&B in the Marigney area of NOLA. Short walk to French Quarter and Frenchman St. My daughter and I stayed for six nights and had a fantastic time. Our hosts, David and Schuyler were the most comfortable people to be around. Felt like you were with family. Great breakfasts of muffins, croissants, bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal, and even a quiche all beautifully displayed with a table set for the most discriminating tastes.
We stayed in the upper loft room, which was like having a small apt. all to yourself. Staying at the Chez Palmiers was like living as a local and I value that on all vacations I take. I would definitely recommend the Chez Palmiers for the affordability and location.

This was my third time to Nola; my husband’s second. We normally stay in a hotel but decided to go the B&B route this time, and we will never look back. Nola is one of those places that you’ll want to revisit, and there is no doubt we’ll be reserving at Chez Palmiers for our future trips.
First let’s talk about your hosts: Schuyler & David. They’re the kind of guys you want as next door neighbors. Cheery, helpful and passionate about the neighborhood, without being overbearing. It’s a typical B&B so we’d see them around often, but it was always awesome. We’d chat about local issues, great restaurants, etc. (And take their advice when it comes to food — they know their stuff!) It was great having them around. In fact, i want to be their neighbor.
CP is located in Marigney which is literally a three minute walk from the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. For us, it was a perfect location. We were not in the loud French Quarter, but we were close enough that whenever we wanted to get there — it was just a walk away. I’m also a runner so I enjoyed easy access to fun & safe running routes (to City Park and around the Quarter for example.)
The house is lovely! They’re big architecture buffs so they’re happy to talk to you about it’s style. We stayed in the downstairs suite and it was PERFECT! We even had our own private reading/​sitting room with tons of books. A few days after we arrived, my husband’s brother and partners arrived and they took the upstairs loft which was also great. We spent most of our afternoons in the pool. Since we had been to Nola before and done most of the «sights» on previous trips, we just wanted to eat, listen to great music, and relax. We’d wake up, eat, swim, go find lunch, eat some beignets, swim, drink some wine, swim, waddle to Frenchman Street, and repeat. For us it was the perfect vacation.
Breakfast was good. In New Orleans a local law prohibits B&Bs from preparing cooked breakfasts (I know — crazy, huh?) but we’d never go hungry in the AM. Schuyler & David would put out tons of bread, bagels, croissants, spreads, cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. (And great coffee!) We’d eat our breakfast poolside each AM (and then hop in the pool.) It was actually funny — on our first morning, my husband joined me on a LONG run. As we were on our way back to CP he said, «I really want a croissant with brie.» I said, «Baby, I think you’re dreaming. They”ll probably have toast and stuff.» I kid you not. We get home, covered in sweat and aching to find croissants and brie. Magic!
All in all — this was a perfect B&B experience. And we will be going back. Thanks Schuyler & David!
