This company grossly overcharged me for a dress without any upfront pricing. I rented a southern belle dress for a fraternity event from this company. They had set up a pop up shop of sorts inside the fraternity and had racks of dresses but without any prices posted. I was never told any prices until they had swiped my credit card for an obscene amount. After doing some research I realized I could have bought a dress for less money than my rental price. I went back 2 hours later to return the dress but was told they would not take any returns. I explained I was unaware of their no return policy as the salesperson never told me about it and it is not printed on the receipt; they still would not accept it. I am completely dissatisfied and disappointed that this company would take advantage of college students in this way. I will never make this mistake again.

Carl Mack was amazing for our wedding! Ricky was super helpful answering all of our questions (on a daily basis) and got us everything we needed and more. I would definitely recommend using them for any event or party in New Orleans!

When you visit New Orleans there is a good chance that you’ll find yourself dressing up in a costume for something… parades, parties, festivals, because it’s a Tuesday… The Big Easy is the land of revelry and dress up and there is no better place to find something special than at Carl Mack Presents. I’m a French Quarter local and happened into Carl Mack Presents a few years ago as it was just up the street. Since walking in to their wonderland, I’ve worn probably more than 100 spectacular costumes in parades, to parties, and even out on the dusty playa at Burning Man.
I’ve gotten to know Carl and his team very well and there isn’t a costume they can’t design or create. Their new location at 318 North Rampart Street just around the corner from their old digs) is 5000 square feet of floor to ceiling outfits in every imaginable genre. They have experts in Hair, wigs, makeup, and styling. And on top of the rentals they also provide professional talent for events. They are the one-​stop shop for magicians, jugglers, stilt walkers, revelers, go-​go dancers, contortionists, second lines, musicians, emcees, dancers, aerialists… really anything you can imagine. Love this place!

I’ve only met a couple time with Mr. Mack, but he’s always had a smile on for me and runs his space is with an inviting tone.
I’d like to do more work with him in the future.
