History

Established in 2014.

Established in 2014, Calhoun Vapor was started by two former cigarette smokers who felt immensely grateful to have found the world of electronic cigarettes and saw a need for a boutique style vapor lounge in the Uptown, New Orleans area that sold only authentic, quality products and e-​liquids in a comfortable, fun, and clean environment.

I’ve never seen or heard of a better vape shop. The staff is always helpful and attentive, regardless of how annoying the questions are. They also have a gold mine of juices. It’s impossible to try them all. Better yet, Calhoun Vapor actually has a relaxed feel instead of some shops where you feel like you’re being interrogated. Overall, a great shop. Calhoun is a unicorn.

This place is great! They were extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! They picked out the perfect tank for my battery after another vape shop gave me trouble for months, selling me the wrong equipment.
Their liquid selection is also very large and diverse! We got the Vanilla OD and it’s the best vanilla I’ve had yet.
Love this place! A+. Will definitely be using it from now on!

This store has a nice feel to it, and their saving grace is the selection of juice they carry. A shop that makes juice to order and is selling a product that was mixed by a retail employee and never took time to steep is officially the way of the past. I am a firm believer in the idea that shops who do this are just trying to make a few extra bucks because of the low cost to making a bottle on the spot. The people working there were very friendly greeters, but made me feel like I did not know much upon talking to them (I have been vaping for 4 years). They also did not want to heed any of my recommendations of flavors or hardware.

Excellent customer service and very knowledgable. Visiting family and ran out of juice so was happy I found this place. The atmosphere was very nice right up till I asked if they take recommendations for new juice lines. The guy said yes but when I gave them the rec. he started laughing and said the company I was talking about puts out garbage juice. I went to the vape store next to my sisters house after that and they had the line I was looking for– they said it was their best selling line. I should have gone their to start with so that I wasnt made to feel like an idiot at calhoun.

Can’t really review the place since I showed up on Sunday after noon (which is listed here as during business hours) and they were closed.
I always like to visit vape shops when I’m traveling, and read so many good reviews about this place, so I planned to stop on my way out of town.
Nice…I drive across town, and you’re closed. Change the hours here to reflect correct operating hours. Jeez.

What a great little shop. The people working behind the counter are customer service experts and they have a tasting bar. I get peeved when I buy a $ 20.00 bottle of «Espresso» that turns out to be garbage-​flavored mineral oil. That doesn’t happen here because of their «try before you buy» policy. Yes!
Personal anecdote: I just recently visited them to inquire about a specific atomizer. They didn’t have the one I was looking for, but the owner graciously offered to let me try a different brand without risking any money, meaning, he offered to open the package and install it before charging me. If it didn’t work, he said, «no problem we’ll figure something out for you.»
I ended up purchasing a new KangerTech stem and it works like a charm. I get consistently satisfying hits, which is a feature not found in many stems. Thank you, Calhoun Vapor for turning me on to a new, reliable product.
Calhoun Vapor is my new go-​to vapor supply store, and by recommending them with my highest regards, I’m saying go see the shop for yourself.
As for a flavor recommendation: try «Crucible,» especially if you love the coffee/​espresso flavors. It’s smooth, it hits well, it’s delicious and smells absolutely delightful! Combine with a hot java from First Cup Café across the street and you’re set!

Calhoun Vapor is by far the best vape shop in New Orleans. Don’t waste your time trying out other shops. The owners of this shop and their employees are kind and extremely helpful. They want you to have the most satisfying experience and can work with any budget to get you there. Most of all, they want to help people get off and stay off of cigarettes. They’ve got an amazing selection of premium and house-​made juices, which you can having a relaxing experience trying at their tasting bar. There is usually parking on Calhoun St (the store is located by Bud’s Broiler) but there is also more parking in the back. I’m lucky enough to live near Calhoun Vapor, but even if I didn’t, I would drive past any other closer vape shop to get to Calhoun. The guys here have always helped me anytime I’ve ever had an issue with my vape set-​up, and do so with a smile and awesome attitude. That is a major reason they continue to be my preferred vapor shop. Great line of products, comfortable atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and all around good vibes.

Calhoun Vapor is my favorite vapor shop in New Orleans. I have lived in California and Tennessee, both states are well ahead of Louisiana in the vapor department. After visiting all the vapor shops in New Orleans, West Bank, and Metairie, I found Calhoun Vapor, with their premium e liquids, house made to order e liquids, full tasting bar (you can drip them as well) and excellent knowledge/​customer service, did I mention they have the best equipment for sale in the state — you won’t find clones at this store. They have indeed set the standard very high, which is unrivaled by any other vapor shop in the city. If your new to vaping, Calhoun is the place to go. If your experienced, Calhoun is the place to go. Pricing is legit, example: evod start up kit at Calhoun is $ 60– the same kit at Crescent City Vapor was $ 100

Great customer service. Quickly got me the correct coils for my tanks, which were priced cheaply, and let me try a variety of juices. Their house-​made juices are excellent and inexpensive. They were also happy to make juices to any VG/​PG ratio and to any level of nicotine content. The owners were also very friendly and the place had a nice atmosphere.
Definitely one of the best vapor shops I’ve been to.
