Located in the back right corner, deep in the swamps of the Audubon Zoo, the Cypress Knee Café has a great atmosphere. You can eat outside besidee the gators or inside in the AC. The crawfish etoufee and the red beans and rice are delicious and spicy. Overall, the local options seem to taste better than the generic items. The burgers and fries are typical and remind me of a cafateria. You get a free refill of your soda with your cup and receipt. Sometimes I come to the zoo just to way here.

The staff hates you. They really hate you. Good chicken fingers though! They hate you and eveything you stand for.

I love Audubon Zoo, and am a member. For ambiance, this place knocks the socks off the other zoo options. But the food was just a cajun-style version of the same mediocre fare they serve elsewhere. I probably won’t eat at the park during my next visit.

Decent red beans for park food. It’s located in the back of the zoo by the swamp. It’s not too expensive and good food.
