They almost always give me flack when price matching. 30 mile range one week, the next 12, the next 5. They have stores next to the store I want to price match, but they would rather I get in my car and drive to a WalMart that is closer to the store I want to match. Joe, the store manager is great, if he’s still there. When they give me too much crap, I just make a scene, apologize to the other customers in line and blame their policy. Then I call corporate and report the front end manager giving me the crap. I think they demoted the last one because of me. She was giving me flack about price-​matching a head of celery, for crying out loud! If I were in charge, I’d make it policy to match prices within a 50 mile radius. Some MORON at corporate, who no doubt is WAY overpaid, is leaving it up to store managers to set the policy, so it varies between stores as to whether or not they will match your price! HOW STUPID CAN YOU GET? Dumb ass corporate marketing morons haven’t a clue. So when something I can freeze goes on sale at another store, I’ll spend the gas money now and give them my business. SCREW those fools at corporate. I feel sorry for the poor cash register employees as corporate has put the fear of God in those folks that they’ll get fired if they don’t verify the sale price, EVEN though WalMart’s ads say you don’t have to produce the sale paper.

Ditto to many of these negative comments. There are a few polite staff members, but that does not make up for the poorly stocked items and disorganization of the store. I left a bag there tonight, after I pick that bag up I vow not to shop here anymore. I become frustrated each time, so I’m sorry to say I will no longer call myself a customer.

The worst Walmart ever.
*The staff is rude. Test them. See if they talk to you: see if they say hi, see if they say thank you. They treat you like you a a bother, management included. I know. Cause I have now talked to a manager here 4 times over the past year. my daughter laughs at this now and has been keeping score. In our last 15 visits we have been addressed 4 times.
*The time when the deli clerk put a salami under her arm and walked around. (Yummy armpit salami!) this brings up another point… Why can’t the figure out how to Use a number system? Why do we the customers need to referee ourselves? Oh and another deli gem… If the staff wants to leave on time they clean the equipment early and only use one slicer. So you may have three paid employees there, but only one slicer. And they don’t care.
*the time the cake decorator quit while I was there and I got to participate in the excitement of this event, and no one could figure out how I could order a cake. So they told me to go to another Walmart. They couldn’t even call it in for me.
*the time they had two lanes open, and I waited 25 mins to check out. You know why? The manager told me it was so that they could close one set of doors. Maybe next time she could skip the ridiculous self serving reason and just open a register.
I’m only writing this review in hopes that corporate reads it and does something. Send in a secret shopper and check it out. This has got to be a management and hiring issue cause the other local walmarts are nothing like this. I hate going to this store and tell everyone I know how bad it is. Do something about it.

Very poor customer service ! First of all I called earlier today and asked customer service if they found my fiancés ID, they said no. Second of all I go to return or receive store credit for a radio I bought two days ago & they incriminated me and my fiancé as if we were trying to get over ! And lastly as they rummaged the store for the same radio, one of them returned with my ID they said they DIDN’T HAVE 30 minutes PRIOR! One short round one rudely commented and said that the radio looks old and that they don’t make those kind anymore. And although one of the sales clerks admittedly said to management that she completed the transaction and DID NOT give us a receipt they STILL proceeded to ask questions like what register did you go to? What time was it ?? EVERYONE was SO RUDE AND DISGUSTING I will NEVER patron at New Lenox Walmart again! And furthermore after more incriminating questions and denial of responsibility the manager reluctantly exchanged the radio for a gift card. Wow ! how tough was that !!!

Manager on evenings, Deshun or Desahaun, is horrible at his job, along with customer service manager or team leader/​Anastasia, I go out of my way to clip coupons to save money, and these people just make it impossible for smart people who just want to save a buck. The cashier who was cashing me out Grace H. was unknowledable about their own coupon policy which turned it into a circus fiasco at the register for me. These people had no empathy, customer service or managerial skills when it comes to dealing with customers. They let they’re frustrations get the best of them. I’ve since been shopping at other stores where employees are aware of their store’s policy. This is also the second time I’ve had an issue over coupons at this store.

The pharmacy here is staffed by imbeciles. And don’t get me wrong, when I go to a WalMart I adjust my expectations accordingly. But these people are downright awful in the way of running a functioning pharmacy.
If zero stars were an option, i’d give zero.

Always out of what you need. Awful produce. Long lines. 75% of them aren’t open. Be careful to grab all your bags. They’re notorious for forgetting to give you a bag. Go to Aldi. Save money, time, and two trips!!!

This isn’t the worst Walmart I’ve ever been to, but it’s not great. The store has 24 checkout lanes, but only 2 or 3 open at any given time, with 6 customers in each line. They are always out of everything and the shelves are poorly stocked.

The pharmacy manager Laura is the rudest person I have ever encountered in my life. I asked her for a recommendation and she said «hold on, let me get someone else to help you» in a very rude way, like I was inconveniencing her. Then the girl came out and I asked her for a recommendation and she informed me she’s not allowed to recommend anything and I would have to wait for the pharmacist. So we went back over to the counter and the pharmacist insisted that she had 6 doctors on the phone but she wasn’t even on the phone and it wasn’t ringing. So I told her never mind, thanks for nothing. She was very rude and condescending towards her staff as well. I’m surprised she has a staff after that day, and all of the others because I’m assuming this is not a one time incident by the way the staff were acting. People like that should not be in charge of any other human. Just so everyone knows, steer clear of the pharmacy when this woman is there.

It’s a Wal-​Mart, enough said. It’s a haven for illegals and their children. Multiple times have I actually been run in to by kids running around with no parents in sight. If you want a better experience go to Target down the street from there. Slightly higher prices but well worth it. No illegal kids running around, the store is clean and staff is friendly.

I perfer driving farther to avoid this walmart.

Employees look/​talk/​act trashy.

Let’s just say I’d rather pay quadruple the regular price of things at a high-​end grocer than attempt to ad-​match at this Walmart. I’ve had nothing but problems here, and when I use the rules and guidelines listed on WALMART’S WEBSITE to rightfully ad-​match, I get nothing but attitude from the employees. Not only do I NOT save money, but I actually walk out with worsened physical health. Oh, and the produce is terrible anyway. Good luck finding any strawberries without mold!

OMG!!! Filthy place. Customer Service is horrible. I was waiting in line to check out & the cashier kept scratching her head because her weave was itchy. She would scratch her head, & handle food. When it was my turn to check out I asked her to wash her hands. She gave me a dirty look & said «o ok» I told her it was unsanitary to scratch her head & than touch food. She said nothing & than scratched her face, & picked her ear. I took everything off the conveyor & went to another cashier. The lady behind me in line yelled at the girl & followed me to the other cashier. While waiting I asked for the store Manager & I was told their was not a store Manager only the Customer Service Manager. I explained my story to her & she apologized but at no time did she speak to the Cashier. I was in line when other customers started complaining how dirty the store is & they only come in as a last resort. As I am leaving I approach the Customer Service Manager again & asked her to just watch how the employee is violating a health code. Sure enough she scratched her head but this time scratched her nose & grabbed a package of lunch meat. She acknowledged that she will talk to her, but this time I asked for the Store Manager to call me. It has been 4 weeks no phone call, but I call & the Manager is never in. Hmmm could it be he just is avoiding me because he’s tired of dealing with complaints. Maybe if the store was managed properly there would be no need to avoid phone calls.
I have told my entire family & all my friends to not go to the Walmart in New Lenox.

This rating is in comparison to other Walmart stores.
The stocking is poor. Every time I shop there something I came for is not on the shelf and variety is not the same as other Walmart stores. Over the last several months the selection seems to be getting worse not better. Trending down.
I went to the store to get propane and exchange the tank. You cannot bring the propane through the store so I went in and asked for someone to meet me at the propane rack outside, The indicated they would be there in a couple of minutes. After waiting outside for 20 minutes, I returned my empty tank to my car and went in to find the help. It turns out they went to lunch and just blew me off.
My one experience in customer service was the worst I ever had. The line grew to over 25 people and when it blocked the entrance they finally put another person behind the counter.
The people that work here are helpful and concerned about doing a good job, but good luck trying to find somebody. The store appears way under staffed. This is a clean store with a good location, but has some serious management issues,

I shopped a few times at this location before deciding to never spend another penny with wal mart.
I’ll make this simple
1. This place is pretty small.
2. The sporting goods section pretty much sucks.
3. It is set up pretty terrible and the whole store seems out of order.
3. This place is a magnet for the scum of the earth– Customers AND employees.
I guess I won’t be «saving money and living better».
I wouldn’t be surprised if they moved just outside of town right before their tax exemption expires, like they do for other towns…

China sweat shops made that. When I leave I have the sudden urge to take a shower for some reason.

DO NOT SHOP THIS STORE. On the way out of the store, an employee grabbed my arm for polietely declining to show my receipt while pushing my cart full of BAGGED ITEMS out the door. To my knowledge the employee was not disciplined and is still lurking near the exit doors. Would she do the same to a child that didn’t show their receipt? This employee needs to be disciplined, re-​trained, or fired.
Further, it is Wal-Mart’s stance that they did noting wrong and they are focusing on the fact that I pointed my finger at the employee and told her not to touch me. I am allowed to do whatever I need to in order to end their employees unlawful grabbing of my arm. They had no reasonable grounds, or probable cause, thus they had no right to touch me.
Further, my request for a response from a manager has been IGNORED for 7 days and counting…
Edit: 12÷5÷12: STILL BEING IGNORED by Wal-​mart management! Management refuses to return phone calls. 14 days and counting…

Idk if it’s just my luck… but this Walmart’s customer service sucks. Even when I’ve called on the phone to ask someone to help me… she sounded like I was bothering her. Really? The cashiers I’ve dealt with were also not very efficient; just not fast enough it seems. The store does seem clean, & it should bec it’s fairly new. Even the customer service desk is slow. MAybe staff is tired & short handed – IDK?!
I just wish the customer service was better & the cashiers to be faster… more sense of urgency!
I dread shopping here, but bec of it’s proximity to our house… I end up @ Walmart.
They could still improve on the customer friendliness…& I don’t mean greeting me ‘HI” & «good bye» @ the door.
I do have to say that the bakery staff does seem very friendly.
Parking is great also.

PROS:
Clean store, polite employees, Dunkin Donuts inside, better carts, overall — a much better managed store than the Walmart in Lockport, IL.

Customer service is what every customer wants but never gets. I flew throught the store and got to the register only to realize that I forgot my wallet in the car. The cashier told me she would go slow. When I got back she had put everything in the cart for me. WOW! I know she didn’t have to do any of that for me. My hats off to this lovely lady.
