Saw some bad google reviews and felt the need to chime in on Unilocal. Been in here quite a few times now. I mainly go in for cigars, and I can say they have the best selection in the area outside of driving 30+ minutes to get to a Binnys. Pricing on cigars is reasonable and they have a great deal if you buy 5 sticks at once. Again, I’ve been in mainly for cigars, but it’s difficult to deny the sizable quantity of other products they have packing the shop. To address complains of bad customer service, I’ll say that I’ve always been treated fairly there. I was carded the first 3 — 5 times I went in, and I definitely look over 18. Once they recognize you, the carding stops. I can’t blame them for being cautious. In my experience, the guys who work there give you your space unless you specifically ask for help. And, if you ask for help they do their best based on their personal interest. Sometimes you’ll have someone who can talk for hours about their favorite cigars. Other times you’ll have someone who can simply point out the brand you’re looking for on the shelf. Again, I can’t complain because I wouldn’t know the first thing about forms of tobacco that don’t interest me. Anyways, I recommend stopping in if you’re in the area and need something. Just have your ID ready your first time in, and if you have questions don’t wait for someone to approach you.
