National Tire & Battery

I gave them another try and immediately regretted it. I had a 9am appointment but it didn’t mean anything because they only had 1 mechanic on duty because one called off. They told me this in beginning but they failed to mention they wouldn’t even get to my truck within the first hour of waiting. They don’t value your time and don’t honor apointment times ever. I will never return.
I drove down to the ultra care lube center with no apointment and they had truck oil change and tire rotation done in less than 30 min.

They took my car on a Sunday morning, called me to come get it right before they closed when they informed me they didn’t change my tires because they did t have them. They took ALL DAY to figure this out? Why did they take my car in the first place or why didn’t they call me earlier? How stupid are they???

Not sure if anyone else had this problem. But after service it looked like someone was missing around with my radio. The fade was set to the front speakers. Car was parked in the same spot too. Did I really get a oil change?
Do not like people messing around in my car. Just looks like I was violated. Questioning if I will go back.

I can’t understand why there are so many negative reviews about this place. Cody and his team, especially Anthony, treated my car like it was their own. They didn’t try to upsell me on anything, they were thoroughly professional, courteous and did an outstanding job putting the new rims on my Porsche. Anthony walked me through the entire wheel alignment test only to tell me than it wasn’t necessary to do. I really appreciated that. I would highly recommend them.

Terribly slow service. I had an apt for an oil change and new tires… nearly 3 hrs later I am still waiting. Nothing but a bunch of excuses why it’s taking so long. Oh and it’s only 2 tires, not all 4! Try someplace else if your time is valuable to you.

I have brought two cars into this NTB a total of four times. The staff is helpful and courteous. One time I had a slightly bent rim and the staff got the tire on — no leaks. No problems with tires. No aggressive up-​sells to buy more stuff.
It took time to get the tires changed properly every time we went in. However, depending on the amount of customers, I was served in a good time frame. I could watch them do the work through a window in the lounge and they were not in any way slacking off.
I am very happy with this store and their excellent service earned my business.

STAY AWAY! 2 year old tires with warranty through them. ²⁄₄ tired are showing the metal. Claim it’s an alignment issue (even though I had just came from the dealership stating my alignment was good since I had them put on my spare tire on the worse of the 2 bad tires). Refused to honor their warranty. Also tried to tell me my serpentine belt needed replacement, when it had been replaced that morning… funny how they back tracked then…

I came to NTB to get new tires and an alignment. I got a decent deal on the tires. However, the service was absolutely terrible. The alignment wasn’t done properly, had to bring it back the day of to have them fix it. I was suppose leaving for college the next day. They fixed it only as they pulled my car out of the garage a careless mechanic backed in another vehicle! There is more than enough room not to hit the only car that was parked near the garage!!! I then had to get my vehicles bumper completely repaired, leave for college late, and had to rent a car. NTB paid for the damages but it took them FOREVER to reimburse me! Careless service, overpriced, and overall a negative experience. My family will never come to NTB again.

This is a local shop and prefer to give my business locally so I gave them three tries and they proved they cannot be trusted,
1, The first time I had my wife’s Camry in for an alignment. When I got the car back, it was worse than when I brought it in. Two trips and two managers and four hours later they did get it right.
2. When away on business I had to get one tire replaced in an emergency. When I returned home I ordered three new tires to install so that they would all be new. When they installed the three new tires, they threw away the new on I had installed and left one of the worn out ones on the car. After several days of bickering, and hours on the phone they did pony up and replaced the worn tire on their dime.
3. Today I needed to get a tire installed. They would not install the tire unless I purchased additional services that I did not want. When I challenged this bait and switch, I got lot’s of attitude. I had called and verified they would do this before I arrived, but the story changed after I got there. More time wasted.
I have had work done by other NTB’s and they were good. Who ever is responsible for this store needs to be replaced. If you do decide to go here, do not say you have not been warned.

Their work is fine. They are just too expensive!

Bought tires with road hazard warranty, came back a year later, with a bolt in tire, was told at least two to three hours to patch tire, it only takes twenty minutes at most to patch tire, I understand they have other customers, but they need to remember I already paid for tires and road hazard insurance, they need to keep previous customers happy to ensure repeat customers. went to Orland Park NTB was in and out in under half an hour.

Dishonest as they come. Juan quoted me a price of over $ 700 on my Toyota Matrix and this was with the tires at $ 133 each but with the deal of buy 3 get the 4^th free… he also started mentioning that he thought one of my rear shocks was bad, which it is not… probably a scam to get it on the rack then call me with more supposed problems that my car does not have. So they were trying to tack on over $ 300 in fees, extras, and «premium» stuff… The 4 tires should cost about $ 550 out the door. I’ve called several other honest places with that as a out the door price. I never feel like the guys at this NTB are being honest. I took my car over to Discount tires and was out the door for under $ 550 with better tires.

Brought in a wheel off my garden tractor that had a boken valve stem.
They removed the tire to install a new valve stem and remounted the tire. They would not take any compensation.
