Yuck ! Tasteless grease upon grease with no flavor! Never going back even if you paid me. Ewwww I have had better gyros and beef sandwiches! Disappointment!!!

We stopped for a quick meal on a recent road trip. The hubs had the bacon cheeseburger, I had the regular burger sans bun, we shared some fries. We planned on eating in the car so I did not get gyros… even though the reviews made me wish I had. The burgers were decent but smaller than we hoped. Order a double. The fries were hot and fresh. One order was plenty to share.

15 years ago this place used to be good I was out in New Lenox so I decided I was going to stop for a gyro this quickly turned out to be one of the top 5 worst gyros I’ve ever had in my life it was super dry they didn’t even have the sense to put a little oil on the meat as they were cooking on the grill I would never ever waste my time here again nor my money the two teenager’s didn’t really care and all that I was just dissatisfied customer I was going to put a couple bucks in there little tip kitty but I figure why bother do yourself a favor go somewhere else don’t go here

I LOVE this place. They give you a lot of meat with the gyro platter and Kalamata olives. This is my «go-​to» place for gyros. Like Billy Boy’s on 95th and Ridgeland USED to be.

This place is an insanely good amount of food for your money. On top of that, it’s delicious! The person at the register is always friendly and makes sure every single one of your needs are met and will go out of her way to do so. Definitely go there. I give 6⁄5 stars.

I have eaten here for years. The gyro plate is huge. Enough meat for 3 gyros so order an extra pita. I have never been disappointed. Philly cheese steak is awesome too. The employees are nice and service is very good. Food is made fresh not sitting under heat lamps. Great food at good prices.

Went here a few times when I was getting ready to move to the area and thought they were average at best. Really hit or miss. I mean come on, how can you mess up hot dogs? Well obviously you can. I’ve been back twice since moving here and it stinks. Definitely will not be going back. Yuck.

I have eaten here on and off for 7 years. No complaints. I got a burger today that was disgusting. Not sure if the meat was old, or par cooked, Or it may have just been a really cheap patty; Regardless it was gross. After today I will never come back.

You gotta be kidding me, expensive and bad.4.70 for a hotdog and fry? And they put ketchup on it… what. Then I hade nachos forget it this place sucks. You can make better at home or speedway roller dogs. told cashier that I ordered Chicago style dog and got home and it was a regular dog with ketchup aand no sport peppers, her replie oh some of these girls don’t know what a Chicago dog is… duh are they your employees? no credit or nothing.

Good local fast eats. Gyro sandwiches are big enough for two meals and the Gyro plates could feed a small village in some counties. The fries are piping hot, crispy on the outside and tender inside. The owner is a friendly enough guy and seems to be there almost all the time. The hot dogs are ok but there are better Chicago dogs to be found in the area. The grease will probably catch up with me but I’ll die fat and happy.

OMG; so I had to go out to New Lenox for a time in my life & this place made some of the absolute best ribs I’ve ever eaten! Their gyro platter was darned good too. If I have to go back out that way, I would eat there for sure!

It’s a hotdog joint. Pure and simple. Not the best, but the best around. It is a solid dog and the burgers and some other sandwiches are decent as well. My gripe is that the hot dog does not come with fries. Maybe I have just become spoiled and jaded, maybe I just expect too much, but I just assume that a hot dog comes wrapped in fries. It’s sad, but not a deal breaker. They do have good specials and the prices aren’t scary on the regular menu.

Gyros are pretty good. You get olives, feta cheese, and peppers with the platter which is nice because you don’t find that everywhere. I ordered extra sauces and only got 1 free sauce instead of 2 that normally come with the platter. Maybe they forgot how to count? The fries were great and you get lots with the gyro platter.
Even though it was crowded and there were about 5 people waiting for food, they were pushing out orders quickly. I did not have to wait more than a few minutes.
I don’t drink pop but did notice that they charge for refills.

Had a fish sandwich and fries from here yesterday. Fish was ok, nothing too special, although I did appreciate the finely shaved iceberg lettuce on it. Forgot to order onions on it, darn. But the fries were exceptional!
This place has your standard fare fast food, plus gyros like the name says, duh.

I must say I’m quite surprised at all of the negative reviews of this place. It’s local counter service at it’s best in my opinion.
I’ve never had a bad meal at AJ’s. The all beef hot dogs are delicious and made to order. The gyro sandwich is huge and I can easily make two meals out of it. Even the pizza puff is piping hot. I also love their fries and the chocolate milkshake is a sweet ending.
I will agree that the staff here is not the friendliest but the service is usually quick and the prices are reasonable. We go here a few times a month to pick up dinner and it doesn’t disappoint.

I seldom go back to a place once I am unhappy with something, I feel my money’s good anywhere, but everyone says they’re food is good give them a chance, so I did,
I ordered the rib tips, (the special of the day) they were OK, not rib tips as I know them, these were just small chunks of meat with a fair amount of fat attached, but eatable.
what I was not pleased with is that I got an order of fried zucchini that had been fried before then re fried again to make them hot, the problem is, they were so well done you didn’t know what they were, no taste at all, this is going to be my last resort place.
