The best sauerbraten I have had in a long time! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Staff was professional and attentive to our party 20 guests.

I just attended a friend’s wedding here this weekend and was impressed by the place. I had a great time and both the indoor areas and outdoor garden and patio where they had the ceremony were gorgeous. The food was good, especially the cocktail hour where they had a wide variety to choose from. The bartenders were very good and all the staff were friendly and polite. I enjoyed the event very much.

I had my engagement party here (equivalent to a wedding with cocktail hour + reception). This place was of significant meaning to us since we met at this place at a mutual friend’s wedding.
We hosted 240 guests for a lunch reception who were all very impressed with the food and ambiance. I recommend having cocktail hour in the patio. We lucked out with the weather and it was a beautiful September day.
What I liked about the Inn was how affordable it was and how flexible they were with the food and cocktail hour selections. I was also grateful for the complimentary valet and lighting which is NEVER complimentary in California where I’m from. We worked with Lynne to sign the contract and put together the menu. She was able to get us a contract prepared within an hour of visiting the venue!
There were just a few things I didn’t like: I would have preferred more red wine sauce on my steak. A waiter interrupted us during a speech to ask if we wanted drinks (inappropriate timing!).
Our maitre’d, Danny, was incredibly helpful the days leading up to the event and on the actual day. He helped us finalize our schedule, prepared our placecards, showed us a preview of the room and got us drinks while we waited for our guests to enter the ballroom. He did several other little things that I can’t number.

I attended a memorial dinner here. 60 people in a spacious private room enjoyed a very nice buffet and excellent service. The sundae table for dessert was a hit with everyone.

I can’t say enough good things. Our fall wedding day (in spite of the threat of torrential rain and cold weather) went without a hitch because everything was in the hands of absolute pros. From Jen, the wedding planner to my two wonderful bridal attendants and Barbara, our maitre’d, everyone was a total professional and handled any small crises with ease. The venue has apparently undergone some extensive renovations during the past few years and whatever was done has transformed it into a beautiful space. The bridal suite where my bridesmaids and I got ready is as large and as beautifully decorated as a lovely apartment, with comfy couches and a full bar where we partook of plenty of celebratory drinks. The outdoor garden/​ceremony space (which we sadly couldn’t use for our ceremony but did later for pictures) is breathtaking and the cocktail hour upstairs is a lovely, bricked grotto space, with nooks that offer all kinds of specialties. In fact, there was so much food offered during the cocktail hour that a few friends later confessed that they mistakenly thought this was the reception. The Georgian ballroom, where we had our reception, is cavernous, easily fitting our 250+ guest list comfortably and still allowing a ton of space for everyone to boogie. During and after our wedding, all of our guests kept gushing about how wonderful everything had been, some even admitting that this was the best wedding they’d ever attended. Everyone that we worked with was incredibly able and accommodating, even preparing special menus on account of my vegan diet, and the food was just outstanding. My husband and I are so happy we decided to have our special day here and we’d highly recommend it to anyone for any special occasion.

. great multi-​level layout with a homey feel. it is a good choice since it’s not too far from the city and other boroughs. great outdoor area for the wedding ceremony where you can take in some quality fresh air. the food service overall was very good, but was spotty at times. for example, on the plus side, the wait staff asked us if we wanted anything from the open bar and refolded the linen napkins. however, the wait staff forgot a couple of people’s entrée orders when they have a seating chart to indicate what each person ordered. thus, there were a couple of people waiting to eat while everyone else had their food. wait staff could have done a better job of asking each person if they wanted coffee and they didn’t systematically refill the water of everyone at the table, they will refill some and not others. go figure. with respect to the entrée, the duck a l’orange was a large portion but it was dry and there was no sauce?! also got a piece of tiramisu that was clearly a defect compared to the others. the valet parking is a little hidden and not clearly marked from the street but like Leo K said it is covered. But obviously we were here to celebrate and the wedding was a great one.

This is a nice venue for a wedding. However, I think it’s a little overpriced. I read many reviews about this place and decided to make an appointment. My fiancé and I felt very weird to walk in into an ongoing event. We saw from far away a lady and we told her we had an appointment. She told us to filled out a form and we wait and we wait for 20 minutes until we spoke to the sales manager. Even though he was nice to us we felt rushed. I just let him talked and waited until he finished. I just couldn’t wait to get out of there.

My best friend just got married here and I was her matron of honor so I got to see first hand how extremely attentive the staff is. The bridal party was very large but we wanted for nothing someone was always around to help or get us drinks. They gathered everyone when it was time to take photos or head down to the reception area. The food was good for the most part I enjoyed the food at cocktail hour more than the actual meal though. My steak was over cooked and the crab cake wasn’t good but everything else was. The place is easy to find I didn’t drive so I can’t comment on parking or the valet service but in didnt hear any complaints. The venue is beautiful inside and out especially in the back for pictures I would definitely recommend it! We had a great time.

Attended a wedding there last Sunday. Beautiful gardens! Delicious food. Attentive staff. Comfortable, elegant, clean. I was happy for my friends that they had such a nice venue. As a newlywed myself I knew what to look for in a venue. Book your wedding here, you will be pleased.

I was here for a school party in the bar. Three hot appetizers were delicious. Fried calamari was delicious as well as the dumplings and potato pancakes. The chicken franchises was very tender as well.

I’ve always love the Inn at NHP but having my own event there really made me love it more. My bridal shower was April, 2015 and it was amazing. From the décor, elegance and delish’ food. I have no complaints about this place. I had the combined rooms in the cellar for my shower of 97 women (which is highly recommend, own entrance, bathroom and no one else sharing your space) The staff was amazingly generous and made sure my family and bridal party were VERY taken care of. The make your own Icecream sunday bar was a hit! the champagne punch was wonderful as well.
The staff also helped my Fiancé, father and step-​father trolly out all the gifts to the cars waiting. There really is nothing bad to say about this place, and I can not wait to host another event there!

I’ve been to the NHP Inn for several types of events, a large wedding in the main ballroom, a bridal shower & also a 50^th birthday party in their smaller banquet rooms, as well as for a few sit down dinners with my husband and friends in their regular dining room. In every case, the experience has been a good one.
Their banquet rooms are all very beautiful, with rich, dark wood details & elegant granite accents. For wedding events, they have a lovely indoor ceremony room which can accommodate a large number of seated guests. Their outdoor ceremony area is also very pretty, with a small fountain and landscaped grounds.
Their banquet menu in all 3 events we attended included 6 – 8 entrée choices (all excellent options). We were impressed because that number of entrée options is very uncommon for most reception venues. Plus, all of the entrées I chose at the different events (the shrimp, the salmon and the lamb) were very good.
Their regular restaurant dining area is very warm and cozy, with a beautiful fireplace in one of their main rooms. The restaurant menu is very extensive, but it can be pricey. However, we have always enjoyed everything we have ordered (both at the banquets and at the regular restaurant).
As for their service, it has always been very attentive & friendly. The minute you arrive they greet you and direct you to where you need to be, Also, they come to your table regularly to make sure your order is expedited and that all is well.
Since this place is right on Jericho Turnpike, which means metered parking, they offer valet service. But if you are just coming here to dine at their restaurant, you can also find parking up one of the side streets that run perpendicular to Jericho Turnpike.

My husband and I had our wedding here in December 2014. We booked the Inn back in 2012 when we got engaged. It was the first place we saw and we fell in love with it immediately. Although the surrounding area isn’t much to look at, once you enter the Inn, none of that matters. Go see it, it’s beautiful.
Aside from the sheer beauty of the place, the food is excellent and the staff at the Inn are experts at weddings. On our wedding day, Melvin (maitre d’), Ed (security), and bridal attendants Ernsue and Donna were absolute stars. They basically made sure we had nothing to do except enjoy ourselves, which we did! They were also super fun and kept us laughing throughout the night. My husband and I are so grateful to them for truly making our wedding day special.
The reason for 4 stars instead of 5: One of the reasons we booked the Inn is because it prides itself on hosting only 1 wedding at a time. One week before our wedding, our account manager informed us that there would be 2 holiday events immediately preceding our wedding and another event that would be occurring simultaneously. He assured us that the other event happening at the same time was in a different area and we wouldn’t have any mixing of guests, but we were not pleased. So be warned, while yours may be the only WEDDING at the Inn at a given time, it may not be the only EVENT there. Also, it was fine for the Inn to have events immediately before our wedding, we understand. However, because our decorations and flowers were homemade and not handled by vendors (which our account manager was fully aware of), we needed additional setup time. Our account manager promised us that we would have a room to store the flowers and enough time to set up everything, but when my mother arrived at the Inn on the day of the wedding, the room she was promised for flowers was booked with yet another event. The account manager did not try to accommodate her and proved to be pretty unhelpful on wedding day. Melvin and Ed stepped in and saved the day, but I was very disappointed to hear that my mother had this distressing experience on my wedding day.
Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend getting married here. We received many compliments from our guests about the food and décor. Also, their new bridal suite is gorgeous.

I attended my chapter’s scholarship and public service luncheon today and I totally enjoyed it! The venue is pretty, bright, and morden!
The customer service was good and the did wasn’t bad too! I loved the salmon but the beef was nasty to me! They have an amaze fruit green salad that was to die for! The bar served some mean drinks that wasn’t watered down!
The dance floor was pretty small so they need to work on that! Loved the fire place! They have a restaurant connected to the place now too!

We got married here in August and it was incredible. Jeff Edmonds was very helpful in organizing our special day. The maître D and Ernsue were incredible orchestrating everything behind the scenes.
Our guests loved the Tuscany room. The cocktail hour is what people are still talking about…

Our wedding day was September 20, 2014… Perfect weather and a fairy tale wedding thanks to The Inn. The best decision we have ever made was to have our wedding here! The staff and service was impeccable. Best food at a wedding ever… spoken straight from the mouths of our guests. Cocktail hour was insane!!! Cynthia made our whole experience planning extremely easy and enjoyable! Our maître d Melvin ran the show for our guests and was perfect!!! My bridal attendants Donna and Aries were so attentive and on point and I couldn’t ask for more!!! And who can forget Ed… who was always on top of everything!!! This cozy little inn was the perfect place to have my brother’s wedding. The place is beautiful on the inside, and the staff and coordinators are extremely attentive and professional! I was so impressed. They listen to your every need and take care of every detail.
Also, they only have one event at a time, which is what every bride wants. Other venues will have 2 – 3 different weddings going on at the same time with guests and staff crashing into each other… But not the Inn!!!
They also allow outside catering, which is a big plus. Bravo!

The Inn at NHP is a lovely venue and a fairly typical one. There are multiple events held here which could be at the same time. I attended a shower and as it was wrapping up a wedding reception was about to start. The DJ doing his sound check in the other ballroom was well heard in the room I was in across the hall, so something you might want to keep in mind. Also when we were leaving the wedding guests were in the room we needed to walk through in order to get to the valet, which seemed a bit odd to me.
On to the event. The Conservatory Room room was lovely, with lots of light since there was a patio out back and the room was very spacious for about 80 people. There were some passed apps when we first arrived, however they didn’t seem to make the rounds very well as I only got to try 1 item. Lunch consisted of a salad, entrée and cake. There was a very long time in between the salad and entrée course. When the entrees did arrive each version was served separately so it took some time for the whole table to have their food. The service was only so-​so, they were pretty laid back and not very attentive. The food itself was good, standard, but good.
It is a quite a nice venue, but has some minor flaws.

Working with Michelle, Carlos, John, Liz, Ernsue was a pleasure.
I don’t live in New York so communication was very important. Michelle and I had our struggle in the beginning with communication, but I am grateful she was willing to listen and made the necessary changes accordingly. She made sure the wedding ended in the way I envisioned. Michelle worked and helped us in our food selection for the cocktail and reception. Everyone raved and enjoyed the food we had picked. They were also shocked at the amount of food that was offered.
Carlos made sure we didn’t fall behind on our schedule. He made sure all our needs were met as the maitre’d.
John, who oversaw the whole wedding process, was very calm and easy to work with. He was willing to listen and offered suggestions for our best.
The bridal attendants Liz and Ernsue went above and beyond what was needed. They were there every step of the way not just for the bride, me, but for everyone in the wedding party. It would have been a long tiring day without them.
Everyone at the Inn was very helpful, warm and welcoming!
I would recommend Michelle and her team at New Hyde Park to everyone! Thank you for making my dreams come true!

Attended a wedding here last weekend and was pleasantly surprised!
We arrived early and there was a nice living area with a cozy fireplace and a piano that played by itself! We took some pictures there and then hit the bar which is next door. Then they served yummy champagne!
*gazebo area is nice for ceremonies. Av unfortunately didnt work too well. Officiant had to keep repeating herself and when bride said her vow, mic didn’t work at all!!!
*cocktail hour was in a unique room with brick walls and plenty of seating, even some corners that looked semi private. They had different stations with attendants serving grilled steak, shrimp, salads, etc. Really nice set up and full bar with options like oina colada etc. Food was ok though, a little lukewarm
*then dinner was served in a beautiful ballroom with good space and large dance floor for about 200 attendees. White glove service!!! Usually at weddings they give you like 2 options, but this one had: duck, fish, steak, and something else I don’t remember but all were good and good portions. For dessert, they served wedding cake, a tower of pastries and individual fruit glasses, very impressive
Overall, very nice venue! Too bad its not located in a more exclusive street or area. It was weird leaving the place and seeing a Sleepys matress store right across… but recommended!
