I was living in Ny before and I liked their food always. Now I have been moved to CT. Last time when I went over there food quality was not that good. Munchow soup was bland, but Gobi manchurian was spice and salty. Lollipop chicken was Good like always. Parking was a problem like always .But overall not a bad place for Indochienes cuisines.

There food quality was good, but recently its been worse, especially anything chicken related. Also they advertise delivery but when I wanted something delivered today, since it was raining, they couldn’t deliver since the«driver wasn’t going to be there till 2». I ordered from the Chinese place next door, so much better, so much faster. Stay away.

We went for a late Saturday night dinner around 9:30 as they close the kitchen at 11pm. Not crowded but it was late. The staff must be family as there are always little ones running around having a good time… like it was their living room. We hadnt been to RTM in a few years and wanted to try what we recalled as being really good food. For Appys we had the Lolly pop Shrimp… fried to perfection with juicy lip smackin goodness inside. It came with what looked like a thick russian dressing… eh…a better dipping sauce with some seasoning would have been preferred. We also got the Beef Sate… not steak and a little chewy but really prepared well and with a nice peanut dipping sauce. Feeling a bit full we went for the entre’s…Bonnie G. got her favorite dish… the large Tiger Shrimp in thick tasty Manchurian sauce. a great combo and with some kick on the tail end! I love the fact that you can choose your preparation and then add whatever protein you want with it. I chose Goat in a Spicy Tangra Masala Sauce. Goat was tender slices of meat and NOBONES! One of the best I have had. I really enjoyed the dish and the heat requested was great and brought sweat to my brow! To offset all the heat of the dishes we got a nice bowl of Mango Ice Cream… wonderful and cold with bits of Mango in it… really a fantastic ending to a delicious meal!

Royal Tangra Masala is your typical indochinese fusion type of food. Their entire menu consists of such dishes. I have always thought that they’re food is a little too salty for my liking but I’ve never actually complained about it. The soups and appetizers are about the best thing about this place. Their lollipop chicken and the egg drop soup are prevent decent choices. Street parking is available but I would avoid parking on the street adjacent to the entrance(Hillside Avenue) as it is usually busy and getting in and out of your car during busy times can be dangerous.

Update: They have advised that the hot & sour soup is made with vegetable broth. I have to say that this has been one of my favorite indian-asian fusion restaurants. I love the shrimp tangra masala and fried rice. I have also had the cauliflower which I believe is called Gobi. That is fantastic. I also love the hot and sour soup but recently I read that hot and sour is usually made with pig blood so please be aware and confirm with tangra masala(as i will do) whether this is accurate for those that are vegan/vegetarian, pescatarian and people who refrain from this due to religious reasons.

The service is okay, lighting is a little bit too dark, I m not sure about the food though. We ordered one appetizer, a chicken masala and a Hakka noodles. The flavor is kind of weird except that only the noodles is okay. Overall, what a disappointment and we would certainly try elsewhere

Probably the worst service I have ever received because I literally got no service. My friend called to reserve a dinner party of 16 and the lady said it was fine. When we got there she told us we had to sit at two separate tables… and I told her that I can’t have people sitting at two different tables. We asked her if she could combine some tables for us and she said no. She told me «you think this is your house, its not» and we asked to speak to a manage and she wouldn’t let us. Then later she said she was the manager. She further stated that on the phone we should have said that we wanted to sit at one table… but why would we want to sit at two different tables? In the end she told us we should just leave, and that is exactly what we did

One of my favorite spots to go to with the family! The food is always fresh and delicious and they have great options for vegetarians. I usually order the lollipop chicken to start off and the sweet garlic sauce tiger prawns. LOVE!

We took my mom here for a Mother’s Day dinner. It’s a great place to share food family style. Would definitely recommend the Lollipop Chicken, Tangra Masala Fried Rice, Hakka Chicken and the Manchurian Gobi(dry). There are a lot of different tastes in my family and everyone loved all of the food! I can’t wait to go back!

This location is now open on Mondays which was perfect last night when my wife didn’t want to make dinner and I wanted to go out! For the first 30 minutes of our meal we were the only two in the entire restaurant, which was kind of nice it was very quiet, we ate at our own pace and didn’t feel rushed at all and we had the attention of our server who was very sweet and attentive. We both are a huge fan of tangra, their Asian fusion with their spices and bold flavors really hit the spot sometimes. Appetizer: hot and sour soup, lollipop chicken with their sauce(absolute favorite) and their new gold coin chicken or something, pass on that Entrée: manchurian chicken w gravy, manchurian beef dry and tangra masala fried rice, all three are a big hit Had leftovers for a small meal the next day, all for about $ 65-why not?! Huge fans!

Another whatever place on hillside ave. We were so excited to come eat here and left in pure disappointment. Whatever food, the gravys tasted the same, noodles overcooked and the rice has no flavor. Felt like the restaurant cuts corners to get food out. We had 8 of us and they refused to split credit cards because«the owner doesn’t allow it». They didn’t mention it before and after explaining how we do not have cash and do not wish to travel in the heavy snow their response was«ok only two cards thank you». Restaurants are not allowed to do that first of all and blatantly ignoring us turned us off completely. Another cheap owner who cuts corners. We are pretty sure he was on the other side but it’s easier for him to place blame on the wait staff to save him a couple dollars. Two words… STAYAWAY!

This is one of my favorite Asian fusion restaurants! Also, the go to place for all my family dinners. First off, you need to get the lollipop chicken with the amazing sauce.(do not even hesitate to try) I’ve ordered: –Manchurian veggie, chicken, or shrimp w/gravy(Very delicious) –Basil chicken(tasty) –tangra masala chicken(spicy) –shrimp pakora(another great option for an appetizer) The great thing about this place is you can choose mild /spicy.

This is a regular stop for me. When all else fails, always come here. Try the lollipop chicken, the fried chicken momo for an appetizer! The service is good and hasty. The restaurant is comfy, nothing extravagant, and the music is nice as well. If you haven’t been here in the past, start with the Machurian or Chili chicken or tilapia or even the tiger prawn. The food here is absolutely delicious.

Love Tangra Masala! I’ve been coming here for years– and while it doesn’t seem to be as packed with people as it used to be– it’s still one of my local favorites. For appetizers, the chicken lollipop is a must! I’ve tried this at a few different places and™ def does it best. The chicken and shrimp pakora are also really great. I tried the masala fries but wasn’t too impressed– skip it. The hot and sour soup is pretty good, as is the coconut soup. For entrees: manchurian chicken, chili chicken, and tangra masala option are all really good. I love the tangra masala fried rice as well as the manchurian fried rice. The hakka chow main with chicken is also good. Pricing is decent and it has a nice family atmosphere. Till next time™!

Been to this tangea masala many times and I used to love it but recently I came across another tangra masala in sunny side by Astoria and that place is amazing so mug better than this one. Usually I get the Manchurian and the Hakka noodles! Honestly the dishes are average at best with fair pricing

I personally think that this is my favorite Asian fusion place in longisland. For those of you that are in love with jaya thai this is a pretty good alternative. It’s cute, Dainty and frankly standard in terms of prices. Favorite dishes: hot and sour soup, coconut curry soups, paneer pakora, manchurian(vegetarian opinion) Friendly for a first date or family dinner!

This is the best«tanga masala» in ny metro area. I have had the luxury of being able to actually eat in the«tangra» suburb of Kolkata and this place comes pretty dam close to giving me a similar experience. The chicken lollipops here are a must. I’m pretty sure 90% of their clientele return just for these delicious/slightly expensive pieces of battered chicken wings. The mystery sauce that they serve with them is at least equally as amazing as the wings… i’m pretty sure the base of it is mayo. The spice levels can be altered to your taste ranging from bland to ‘Thai spicy’, which might make you reach for some alka seltzer later on in the evening if you don’t have the stomach for it. The different types of fried rice entrees/manchurian/chilli/noodle dishes are all great. If you come here on a weekend, you’ll probably be waiting a while for a seat.
