This is a really small store. They serve Ice cream as well, but we just stopped in for the chocolate covered strawberries. They were delicious. Strawberries were juicy and the chocolate was just right. There are several varieties of candy here. Some pre wrapped, some you buy by the pound. What I really liked is the pre packaged«era» candies. Candy from the 60s, 70s and so on. It was a clean, bright, fun store. Lady at the counter was so so. Not too friendly, but just there to help. Stop in if you have a sweet tooth. While there are tons of other ice cream options around town, I didn’t see any candy shops!

eh. Like the other reviewer said, the ice creams here are small. Plus they’re not even that great. I would skip this place.

As a local with kids, I’ve been here 100 times. Noticed on a recent visit that the cones were really skimpy so I asked the kid working why he was being so chintzy. «The owner told me to make the cones smaller.» So last night I was walking by and noticed an adult male behind the counter so I stopped in to see if he was the owner and he was. Told him about my too-tiny cone and that I was told the owner mandated the size. He just laughed. Didn’t offer any explanation, no recovery of any kind. With so many other good ice cream and candy shops in town, why go to Sugar Daddy’s for the smallest cones in New Hope? Try Nina’s Waffles and ice cream on Mechanics St instead!
