Wow, old school polish deli tucked away on a side street, took me a while to find this place, but i’m glad I did. Kielbasa, kraut, mustard on rye. Huge Sandwich for only $ 4? cmon, where else can you get that. Plus you get to pass Lucibello’s on the way… Grab a pound of Kabanosy for later and thank me. WIN/WIN

The best. Huge sandwiches for cheap. New soups daily(which are delicious) and a unique staff who treats every customer like family.

This place is Awsome! They had everything I wanted and things I didn’t even know I wanted. The store owner was very friendly and the store itself was very clean. I do know one thing… my family and I will be back.

Great selection of meats at great prices. Their homemade cakes are fantastic too. Wozniak does not disappoint.

I’m so happy there is a Polish market in New Haven! The one closer to me on State St. closed soon after I moved to New Haven, but I was happy to find this one. They have a better selection too. I can get all my Polish basics here. They have strawberry pierogi in the fridge too – yum! Very nice service too.

I learned of this place from my parents. It’s the only Polish market that I’m aware of in New Haven. If you want something more authentic then you’ll have to go to New Britain(it has the largest Polish-American community in the state). But this tiny no-nonsense place served my needs just fine when I wanted to purchase Polish sauerkraut. While waiting at the cash register, I saw a handwritten sign«kielbasa-sauerkraut sandwich for $ 3.» I thought, sure, why not, I’ll grab a light lunch. Well, what I got was quite large for such a small price(see picture). It tasted very good. Eating one half of the sandwich was enough to fill me for lunch. Eating the other half probably would have put me in a food induced coma for the rest of the day.

My first experience at a Polish market. The owners are very friendly and they also speak English which is rare I hear. There is an array of foods and has everything you need when it comes to Polish food such as breads, juices, pastries, meats, and cheeses. Wish I could have read it all but unfortunately I can’t understand the language. I ended up getting some ponzki and a Polish christmas card. The kabanosa was delish! Added bonus: the owners will translate your polish letters/cards if you ask.
