Established in 1967.

The Frame Shop and Da Silva Gallery was establish by Gabriel Da Silva in 2002, as part of an expansion of the parent company, The Frame Shop & Westville Gallery, LLC. Mr. Da Silva purchase the business from the original owners in 2002, The Frame Shop was founded in 1967 in the Westville section of the city of New Haven, and it has been here ever since. The gallery represents local, regional and international renowned artists and is an important part of the art scene in southern Connecticut. Framing services are available from our New Haven and Guilford locations. with more than 50 years of experience and more than 3500 samples on display we are certain that we can find the perfect frame for your artwork, photos and heirlooms.

Gabe Da Silva

In 2012 he curated the exhibit «Uruguay in the lower East Side» where he finds conceptual harmony the works of Eduardo Olascuaga (Uruguay) and Juan Sarias (New York, Uruguay). The exhibit was at Brazo Abierto Gallery at the Soto Velez Art Center in NYC

At Da Silva Gallery he has curated over 40 exhibits, ranging from local to international artists, from solo to group shows, from contemporary to experimental, from traditional to installation exhibits. In 2015 the first artist in residence was incorporated to the mixed, a month and half long residency was given to Angeles Martinez from Uruguay that culminated with an exhibit of her work done in New Haven and New York.
