Our Journey:

Back in the days of Eisenhower Double D was born and raised along the Gulf Coast of Alabama. Sweet Home Alabama is known for two things, Football and BBQ! Luckily for New Haven, Double D learned both from the best!

Back in the late 70’s College football was dominated by The Alabama Crimson Tide under infamous Coach Paul «Bear» Bryant, and we all know BBQ was invented (and perfected!) in the South.

For 40+ years Double D’s has undertaken a great BBQ journey! It all started down in South Alabama, but his BBQ dreams have taken him from Alabama, to Texas, and then to Florida!

Summer breezes blew Double D to South Florida, where he learned from the Legendary Sonny Tillman at Sonny’s BBQ, and happened to meet his lovely wife Sindy (yup, you better believe they met in a BBQ restaurant!)

From Florida to Denver and now to New Haven we’re bringing you the REAL DEAL!

35+ years later, and we’re still smokin’!!
