Cyril the Sorcerer uses magic, storytelling and audience interaction to create wizardry and wondrous experiences at parties, festivals, libraries, schools and other locations and events.

Cyril’s specialty is green magic… using his magic shows to educate while also entertaining and enchanting. He is happy to create or tailor a show for you, but can offer one of his many popular shows as well:

Recycling is Magic — a tale of monsters, magic and too much trash.

Magitricity — a show about energy, climate change and how each of us has the power to save energy, save money and save the planet.

Little Fairies, Big Magic — fairies teach the villagers a lesson in protecting wilderness through a comical array of mischief and pranks

Escape from the Goblins — Jasper the woodcutter learns the ways of wizardry while held captive in the Goblin King’s dungeon.

Our World of Magic — a collection of magical folktales and creative conjuring from around the globe.

History

Established in 2005.

Already a seasoned storyteller, CJ May began combining magic with storytelling as a part of his environment education efforts while serving as Yale’s recycling coordinator and president of the Connecticut Recyclers Coalition. He now offers a wide range of shows including many topics, environmental and otherwise.

Business Owner

Following graduation from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, CJ May served as Yale’s recycling coordinator for more than 20 years. He continues his studies of magic at McBride’s Magic & Mystery School, a real-​life Hogwarts for modern magicians. Foremost in any performance is his ability to create an enjoyable experience for all attending.
