This is for the location in West Haven. Your staff needs more training. Very slow for no line.

Love this place. $ 8 or $ 9 for a quick tasty burrito. Nice staff. Good seating options. Clean bathroom. Fair prices compared to Texas where I’m from. Legit flavors.

There were three workers. Two were pleasant but one was a complete bitch. They didn’t have 3 ingredients that I wanted, and I was very nice about it(I’ve worked in the food industry so I get it) but she was extremely rude to me and the kid behind me; rolling her eyes and being very sassy. She definitely ruined this chipotle for me and I wish I would’ve said something to her. She’s in customer service. SHEHASLITERALLYONEJOBANDIT’S TOBENICETOYOURCUSTOMERS(especially if you don’t have a lot of ingredients. would it kill you to be apologetic?).

Had my last Chipotle purchase ever tonight. I was eating inside and staring out at an old man who was panhandling. Everybody was blowing him off. I walked out and he asked me for change. I offered to buy him a meal. «Bill» and I walked back in and was treated rudely by the guy, but was finally served by the girl who then objected to me taking the guy’s picture and then threw away the food she just made for us and told us to leave. Wow! Went across Temple street to the Subway and«Bill» received a warm smile, greeting and a 6″ inch sub.

This is your typical chipotle. Every time I go inside, there’s a line and many workers doing things other than serving. Of course there are other responsibilities, but the line backs up a bit when there’s only one person serving and doing the register while 5 others are doing other things. Overall, it’s an average chipotle. Not outstanding, but they get you what you want in this chain.

I had a steak burrito and it was good. I waited in line for about 20 minutes, the servers seemed like they were annoyed that they had to work and then they charged me for 2 burritos. Like I said, the burrito was good but did not make up for everything else. We did get to eat outside… always a bonus.

I love Chipotle’s food but at this location had a pretty awful service experience. Ordered and prepaid for food online to have it ready for pickup. Got there 5 minutes after it was supposed to be ready and they hadn’t even started it. Still didn’t start it until five minutes after I’d arrived– then it took forever– and was wrong :/. Included ingredients we didn’t want and omitted ingredients we paid extra for(guacamole). Then the drink dispenser was out of ice to add insult to injury. Overall– would go somewhere else next time.

I looooove Chipotle! I have always heard about the hype and I have been converted into a fan. It has become one of my favorite lunch spots. It is inexpensive and you get so much delicious food. I always order one of their bowls and grab a bag of their addicting chips to eat it with. Everyone who works there is extremely nice and very polite. It is a «fast food» place, so you can be in and out in a pinch. I do love the carts, but I find it necessary to stop here at least once a month. It is a little more expensive than the carts, but it is worth it!

Truly chilling place. Went here during the sofritas promo and they told me they didn’t have no rice. No rice??? It’s a staple in the diets of half the world population! They then tell me they have no guac, lettuce, or medium salsa which was fine because I don’t eat that stuff but damn maybe a different brother do. So I walk out of this chipotle with my brown bag in hand and all of a sudden my bag’s bottom rips in half because the sofritas they hurriedly made leaked juice through my bowl. Half my bowl lands on the street. Spillage like you read about. So I go home with half a bowl of this tofu stuff never again

In summary: subpar compared to other locations. Visited this location on 12/27/2014 at 530PM when bringing family from overseas to New Haven. Only one person handling the front(making the food and charging) while 4 – 5 were in the back(prepping? Well, the line was getting long, what are you prepping for? On break? Ok, but all of them while only 1 in the front. Training?). The gentleman doing it seemed overwhelmed to the point that he wouldnt have charged one of my burritos if I hadnt asked him to do it. Food is similar to other Chipotle meaning it is good enough to satisfy your appetite and make you happy about it but dont expect Michelin star. Restroom have a code that is supposed to be in the bottom of your receipt and after several attempts it was not until I returned to the front and not even 2 words into me asking, the same gentleman in a very rushed tone gave me the code so apparently this has been going on for a while(dear manager: is it so difficult to change the code in a lock and make it match the receipt as you are instructing in the same lock?) Also, is it difficult or too expensive to get a baby changing tray in the restroom? I wish neither the readers or the employees of this location have the need to change a toddler while standing in the restroom. One final thought, this location is in a very competitive street in New Haven, there are several other restaurant that while not TexMex food are in the same target(both price and audience), it would be a shame to lose a customer for poor service.

I hadn’t heard all that many great things about chipotle. Granted most of the misconceptions came about from watching South Park. However, since trying the food I’ve discovered that it’s actually kinda ok. There are clear instructions of the food options and how to order which are displayed on boards above the food counter. It’s nice to see the ingredients in front of you and to be able pick and choose the ingredients you want. The folks serving us we’re helpful. The meaI was plenty big enough for me to have left overs for the next day, which is always a bonus.

Unfortunately, this location has gone way downhill. My past two visits have been met with them«out» of multiple items on the line. No black beans, peppers and onions, or pico de gallo at 7:45 on a Monday? Really? Also, when I stopped in tonight I witnessed an employee put meat into a cup and proceed to funnel that into his mouth in the food prep area. Violation of 4.15.a of the CT health code… wonder what other violations I can’t see. I, along with another customer, walked out at this and will not be returning. Bummer.

This location had your usual Chipotle food items. The 4⁄5 rating, as pertaining to the food, compares the food at this location to other Chipotle stores. I am not comparing Chipotle food to traditional Mexican food(which is SO much better in Southern California and Mexico). During my visit, I found that my burrito contained fresh ingredients, was nicely made, and wrapped well. The food is good, the service at this store is wonderful, and I had a good experience. This only real problem that I can comment on was the fact that parking was an issue(I had to park several blocks away); but due to the store’s downtown location, I wasn’t surprised at this issue. Verdict: Standard Chipotle food with good service.

Food three stars. Pleasantly surprised by the sofrito. Service one star. One woman wrapped our food half-hazardly. I can’t believe the cashier threw my bags of food at me. If you don’t want to work and take pride in your job, go somewhere else. Chiptole also overcharges now. They used to offer a free bag of chips with food. Sad state.

I don’t feel bad giving this Chipotle location two stars because as a popular chain they’re not going to close down because of my review, and let’s face it I’m still going to be eating here at least once a month. I ate here when it first opened in January 2013 and they had some service problems then, but it’s reasonable for a new location to have a few kinks to work out. A year and a half later they still have a lot of problems of the workers-have-no-idea-what-the-hell-they’re-doing variety. PROS: –Due to the workers being unable to communicate with each other down the line, you can often get double meat or even guacamole without extra charge. –They make quesarritos/double quesarritos at this location if there aren’t too many people in line. CONS: –Because of aforementioned communication problems, this location can’t seem to keep the supply of meats at a steady level. They’ll often run out of one of the meat options at the counter, at which point all of the workers collectively go «oh shit we totally didn’t notice that was running low» and then you see someone start to frantically cook and chop up more chicken or steak. I’ve seen this happen on multiple occasions. –Workers with lack of common sense. On my last visit the person scooping corn noticed the corn was almost gone, so she picked up the container and dumped the remaining contents, including all the water pooled at the bottom of the container, onto my burrito. This is an action that anyone more intelligent than the average caveman should realize is a terrible idea. As I said previously, Chipotle is Chipotle and I’m still going to come here way more often than is good for my health. It’s quite possible that my behavior helps to enable the continued bad service here. Bah.

Wanted to grab a quick Taco while watching the Jazz concert on the green on 8÷16÷14 at this place… and I really should have known how bad it would be especially in downtown New haven. This place and the taco was disgusting. The place looks dirty, the taco was the size of my fist for almost 4 bucks and they were gonna charge me extra for a spoonful of Guacamole. It was gone in 3 bites and tasted gross. Thank God for so many ignorant people in this country that keep places like this alive.

Not a huge fan of this Chipotle. The service is pissy and parking in downtown New Haven is pretty hit or miss, usually bordering on a big fat miss when I want to eat here. However, when I’m PMSing and want salty food a carnitas burrito bowl with chips and guac(hey loaded nachos) hits the friggin spot. Moe’s is closer to my house, however their chips aren’t overly salty like Chipotle.

So… This place just wowed me in service. Hands down some of the nicest people serving the food here. They yell hello at you as soon as you walk in and then just a quick conveyor belt of people until your delicious burrito(or bowl tacos etc…) comes to you like a gold brick on an even golden. er platter. Some people say small portions which i understand. Some chipotles give alot and some not so much. I noticed a small amount of rice when i first got it so i asked for more and they did without hesitation the meat serving was large and it was all done with a smile… In the end it is a chipotle it taste just like the others except the people here make you feel like they actually want to help you… and not poison your food.

Well, this is as good as it gets. Fresh local fast food texmex fusion, a large array of gluten free options, and quite tasty. I wrote to Chipotle repeatedly over the past few years asking them to come to New Haven, and after sending a few real estate options, it looks like my desperation has paid off!(Yes, I realize how sad this is.) They tested the market in Hartford first, then finally came down to Milford. Unfortunately the parking here can be nonexistent at times, but waiting it a small price to pay. The mexican food options around here aren’t great, but Chipotle will never disappoint. It can reheat well(depending on your choices) and the menu is immensely flexible. Keep an eye out for their free burrito nights throughout the year, Halloween is a good one. One of my favorites: white rice, pinto beans, steak or carnitas, mild salsa, cheese, guac and lettuce. Yum!
