Been going here for years and you cannot beat the prices anywhere… and they actually know how to take care of your hair!

The stylist’s do not know how to do hair! This place is a joke. I’m from NY and live in CT and get tired of driving 1 HR just to go get my hair done, but after reading the 2 reviews that gave them mucho stars I said let me try it out! Should have known better with only 2 reviews! Luckily, I brought my own products bc they don’t seem to have the good stuff. 2 things I liked were they were fairly empty so I got washed right away and the wash girl did a pretty good job there and it’s a Sunday and they are open.
But as I sit here under the dryer watching ppl get blown out its the worst! First off why do you sit under the dryer for 1 hour, then get your hair blown out straight and then flat ironed! They blow it until you have no bump left on the end and then flat iron it and leave the flat iron marks.
Coming from NY nope nope nope, come from under the dryer and either I wrap it or they know how to blow it properly! So after sitting here I’ve decided I’m def not letting them put any blow dryer to my head and I would def not recommend getting a color. Take a look at this patch work quilt of a job Carmen did on this pic I snuck. Oh and did I forget to mention that even after a blow and flat iron the ends are not even straight!
I may come back though, if I’m desperate just to get a wash and roller set by the same wash girl!

I really love the staff here. The atmosphere is very light and happy. The young lady that did my hair staying the whole time my hair came out fantastic and I will definitely go back again

This Is Probably One Of New Havens Best Kept Secret Salons. VERY Cheap !! Monday — Tuesday They Have A Wash & Set Special For Only 20 Dollars !! With A Deep Condition /​Scalp Massage (15 Mins Of Heaven !!) I Have Been Coming Here Since I Was 11 When Ever Im In Connecticut, Carmen (1 Of The Owners /​Head Stylists) Works That Blow Dryer Like No Other Leaving My Hair Bone Straight Yet With Lots Of Body & A Slight Bend At The End.
Did I Mention Im A Natural Gal?! Yes With Proper Wrapping At Night My Hair Can Last 7 Days (Usually 2 Days) So I Can’t Beat The Price Or The Fact My Hair Isn’t Frizzy, Curly Or Tangly For A Week; Bottom Line Ask For Carmen I Love Her !!
