This place is outstanding. If you’re looking for a grinder, sandwich, this is a MUSTTRY. I haven’t found a better place for a Phillycheese steak or chicken parm in CT. Subs are all 10 $ but if your not an absolute savage. The sub can feed you twice. They put at least 3 – 5 cutlets on your sub… ive been to delis that will only put one on each side. KEEPITUP B&M your the best stop in new haven for grinders in my book.

I grew up on B&M Subs they use to be the number 1SPOT… hadn’t been there in over 20 years! I ordered steak n chz with extra onions, bread toasted. The sub was drenched, I mean drenched in butter and toasted on the grill ilk… unheard of. Most would toast under a BROILER. Then he had the nerve to add MAYO… and charge me 13.00 for this disgusting grinder dripping in grease that should be called THEARTERYCLOGGERSTEAK n CHZ! Never Again…

One of my favorite little spots to grab a breakfast sandwich on the go on my way to work. it’s right by the exit and close to home which is very convenient. The owner is a really nice guy and remembers clients names, even gives a small discount to regulars. I have only gotten breakfast sandwiches from here but they are famous for their steak n cheese. They are a tad bit on the pricey side, $ 5.00 for a bacon, egg n cheese on a roll, but it’s worth it for the quality of food and convenience. If you’re in the area and want a sandwich from a quality deli look no further than B&M. Oh, and make sure you have cash because they do not take card!

If I have to elect 5 ‘Hometown favorites’ B&M will be within the 5. I’ve been ordering from this deli for over 10 years. They make the best sandwiches! Their sandwich menu is vast but I order the same thing each time. Steak & cheese w/tomato, fried onion and mayo on a hard roll. To compliment it, I get ‘a bag of fries’. They are rippled fries served in a brown paper bag perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper. The only partial issue are the hours: mon-sat 7am-4pm. Sometimes I want a real sandwich for dinner but can’t catch them before 4. The man who always cashes me out is SONICE!!! He has always been polite & gracious since I’ve been coming in. Not sure of his name, but you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about. That type of politeness is becoming extinct lol

Over priced subs but worth every penny, I mean I couldn’t even finish my steak & cheese… Very clean and easy to find location…

This is a long standing very successful hole in the wall. They are well-known for their steak & cheese on a hard roll or sub & I’ve had these. They are pretty good! I was there with my lovely daughter for breakfast today. She had a bacon, egg & cheese on a hard roll & I had a sausage, egg & cheese on a hard roll, hers scrambled & mine soft. I was impressed they actually got the soft right, not runny, but still oozy goodness. This doesn’t always happen. The service is friendly. It seems like everybody has been there about 30 years. There are tables & chairs, but you might as well get your order to go. The ambience/décor is zero. I found it a little expensive @ $ 6.75/hard roll which is why I don’t go very often. Once I spent almost $ 30 for 2 steak & cheese subs with lots of extra ingredients. It would have been 4 stars if the pricing was a bit more reasonable.
