All said and done with A-​1 Toyota.
They overcharged me $ 300 for work they did not do.
When I questioned the charge they lied to me and claimed it was for a service I know they did not provide.
Therefore I do not recommend having you vehicle serviced by them.

The salespeople at this place will insist on giving you an «education» of how things work at their dealership. Two things that really stuck out to me were how I was told used cars will never sit on their lot for more than 60 days and the cars are priced to move with absolutely no wiggle room, prices are no haggle. I visited the dealership in early October to look at a used car that happened to be out of my price range. So why did I find at the end of December that same used car had been sitting there for almost 90 days and was reduced by over $ 3000? I feel I was lied to and would rather not do business there. I have since purchased a new car elsewhere.

The people were great and the facility is very friendly to customers with a Wifi area, a small bake shop, and a play room for young children. The process of admitting customers is very efficient. It would have gotten 5 stars had they not forgotten to take care of one item on my car I had specifically requested.

A1 Toyota is the best car dealership to go to in the area for buying and servicing a Toyota. I have purchased 3 cars so far through them, and have been more than satisfied by the service and the way I’ve been treated from the very beginning. Carrol and Ken Perrone are simply awesome. I feel I’m going to family when I bring my car in. I’ve never brought my car back for the same service twice. It is nice to know you can count on excellence when it comes to your car service because your family’s life may depend on that degree of excellence. You’re in good hands with A1.

Mohammed (our sales person) was a delight from the moment I met him. He was refreshingly straightforward describing the sales approach at A-​1 and then embodied that approach in all our dealings with him.
Angel, the finance specialist with whom we worked, was not only very quick and responsive to our need to leave the dealership quickly, but was thorough and ensured that we understood everything we were signing,
The care was prepped beautifully for delivery, cleaned and washed with the promised full tank of gas and a complimentary packet of car washes for 21 days.
And the bottom line: I compared prices to that of a dealership that had previously given me a great deal on a purchase, but A-​1 beat their price by nearly $ 1500 (attributable to the increased value they assigned to my trade-​in).
My only hope is that the service turns out to be anything close to the quality of the purchasing experience!

Great sales personnel, Emersom in sales and Paul business manager were on the money and with all their help getting the paperwork done, getting our new 2016 Camry ready for use in time so we made it to the wedding on time. Have bought 4 Camrys from A1 and always best in sales and service dept always good .

Upon re-​reading my review I decided maybe I cut out valuable content to make space for cynical expletives, since I am, of course, extremely upset. So, I will be working on an edited review with more facts, less anger driven jabs at your dealership that hopefully can meet the space requirement here.
Nonetheless, since you reached out to me on Unilocal,I will respond on Unilocal.
Firstly, as for the free oil changes go, I apologize; you do in fact offer free oil changes outside of the Toyota care ones. I will modify my review to account for my oversight.
Secondly, we had a lot of problems with your dealership, a lot of incompetence at best and ill faith at worst, that actually cost us time, sanity and a few thousands of $. Nonetheless, it is hilarious that I decided to mention the silly paint kit situation, of all things, and that you chose to address it.
I have stopped by in person 4 times and called 8 times regarding this issue (at least), since picking up the car last year. I was told by your parts department and the dealer who sold us the car that the paint kit would be mailed to me on multiple occasions. I was even apologized to and told that it was mailed to the wrong address, but that, of course, had been rectified and I should receive it within 5 – 10 business days in the MAIL. I guess I’m not the only one who didn’t read the «New Owner letter presented to every customer».
Offering to «rectify the situation immediately» after I write a bad review on Unilocal does not a satisfactory customer service make, since this should have been done about 1 year and 10+complaints ago. I gave up on the paint kit, since really, it wasn’t worth it, I only kept mentioning it because I was calling regarding another, more important issue that never got fixed. (I’m not petty to be making a big deal out of a $ 10 silly paint kit. It’s the principle, not the paint kit.)
The unfortunate part is that I cannot change the experience I had at your dealership. I can’t complain to Toyota, since their car is awesome, I can’t complain to A1, since you obviously don’t care. What I can do is warn people on Unilocal.So, I am writing this response in order to make it clear to anyone here that all the negative reviews are correct. Your writing the same insincere apology to each of them, is, well, part of the lying A1 tradition. You will not resolve the issue even if I call in now, because that is who you are, as a company and as people working in that company, and that should be clear to anyone reading these reviews. Unilocal provided you with a way, a privilege might I say, to rectify wrongs on this platform, not to humiliate customers, referring them to the «New Owner» letter, after they’ve just been taken for a 1 year long ride about a $ 10 touch up paint kit. I do have to admit this, «no other dealer [I’m] aware of offers free touch-​up paint». But next time you mention this, maybe someone is going to read this review and say, well, maybe if it costs my sanity it’s not really free. Maybe I don’t need this perk. Maybe it’s more important to be treated like a human being, so I’ll skip A1 and go elsewhere.
Perhaps you’re right and all car dealerships «are aggressive and hide information». But A1 is in the same twisted, scheming category as the others; and to me, and, from what I can see, a lot of your customers, that is quite obvious.

I bought my 2014 Prius from here. When I had to get it serviced a few months later, they were nothing but nice and helpful. Also, when I freaked out about a rental car that hit a snow bank during a storm, I called the service center here for some advice and they helped calm me down and told me to come in that very day. It turned out the rental was fine but I’m still glad I called them.

One star because for the past 3 years this company has been spamming me and refuses to delete my email address from their system. I have repeatedly told them that my name is not Dolores, I do not own a Toyota, and I live in San Francisco, and therefore, will not likely be driving to Connecticut for an oil change. I have tried working with them and they say they’ll handle it, but every year their spam resumes reminding me of specials and regular auto maintenance (most recent email dated 1÷10÷15). Does their inability to manage their customer accounts equate to an inability to properly service your car? Hmmm.

From start to finish everyone was incredible and the staff always make my experience a positive one!
The girl Michelle was friendly, professional and helpful and so was the gentleman mark who helped me!
Mark was very friendly, professional and helpful when I came. It was a weekend appointment, but he didn’t rush me or anything. He was incredibly helpful and kind during my visit!
I have never had any kind of issue with work done at a1. They always do a good job!

My last car got totaled in October, I loved it so much that I insisted on getting the same exact one in the same exact color, pre-​owned. I also waited a bit too long to try two local car dealers, so it’s pretty much my fault that I wound up going here. This place was the last one in the tri-​state area that had what I wanted. I called the day before to ensure they had the car; when I explained my situation, and asked if they deliver cars to customers who live far away, the man on the phone told me yes. Awesome! I put a moneyed hold on the car and made the 70-​mile trek in my rental car the next day. They called me when I was en route to ask if I was coming in.
When I got there, I was directed to start filling out some paperwork before I could even meet with the salesperson. Or, uh, see the car, for that matter. They were VERY quick to try and get me started without me actually seeing the vehicle I came to drop lots of money on. Thankfully, I spent a long time with the nicest guy, Carlos, filling out paperwork and making sure he explained everything to me about 3 times. (This was my first time buying a car and everything by myself, let alone pre-​owned. Luckily I didn’t feel like he tried to take advantage of me, though others at this dealership did.)
I did have accessories put on the car that would need additional time to be ordered and put on before my car could be delivered, so I had to drive out of there in my rental. But after I’d signed my life away to Toyota again, and asked my salesperson about the delivery of the car, he said, «Oh no, we don’t do that.»
I promptly lost my mind. Nobody I’d spoken to owned up to telling me on the phone that they could deliver. Luckily I was making a scene in front of the long desk where all the guys in cheap suits were sitting, so someone nearby asked if delivering the car would be more convenient for me, I said, «Uh, YEAH.» I’m pretty sure that insisting on this didn’t help them speed up the process of getting my car to me, which was another long and agonizing process of excuses about the holidays (this was around Thanksgiving), threats of snow, and asking if I could come get the car myself. Uh, 70 miles away? No methods of cloning myself to drive up in one car and drive back in the other? Eventually they did deliver it to me, after having to call many many times and ensure that they were coming the day before Thanksgiving, a couple of weeks after my initial visit.
All in all, a typical car dealer, I guess. Nobody was overtly nasty to me or anything, but they were in a hurry to get me to cough up money and sign papers before making sure I actually saw my car and straightened everything out. Luckily I trust my local dealer much more for service and won’t have to deal with this place again.

A-​1 contacted them through email to start out with and then I went down there to meet the staff and they were great. I was currently working with Colonial Toyota and was a customer of theirs for over 12 years. I had bought 5 cars and had leased 2 and referred several people to their establishment. SO you would figure they would want to work with me but that wasn’t the case, they wouldn’t help me get rid of the awful Scion they sold me but A-​1 was willing to work with me and gave me a great deal. I did all the negotiation over emails. When I went in my car was ready they went over everything with me and even hooked up my blue tooth. Angel went over finance and out the door I went. So if you want to deal with great people email Joe Firine or go in and see Mohammad and you will have a great experience.

The place is build nicely and the staff is friendly, but like every other dealership in the world they rip you off when trying to get something fixed. If you dont know much about cars you end up paying way too much to get something fixed that could have been fixed at other non dealer places.

I bought my car there and the process was pleasant and easy! Very professional and personable staff in all the sales and other departments throughout the buying experience. Very trustworthy business! I also now get my car serviced there and cannot say enough positive things about the service department! Mechanics are knowledgeable and friendly, explain it all to you and don’t try to sell you work you do not need done!

There has been a great improvement to my experiences at A1 service. They dont push for every service required and do what they can to get the job done and not keep escalating. I am very happy with them now. The new waiting area and service area are excellent.

I am a second time customer from A-​1 Toyota. My 2010 purchase went fine, but my 2013 lease is a mess. They rushed me to take delivery on the vehicle, even though the two things I kept reminding them about were not done. Move the tow hitch from old vehicle to new vehicle and install a remote starter on new vehicle. Went back a week later to have there two simple items done and no one had checked to see if the remote starter person was working that day — of course he was not! Excuse me — this is a dealer installed option and in a dealership this size only one person is capable to do the work and he is only there a few days a week and never on Saturdays!!!
So it’s been weeks that I am paying an extra $ 18/​month for a remote starter which I don’t have. Asked the sales manager multiple times how this is being resolved and all I get is the runaround. I work at job where I do not get ANY paid time off. Either refund the cost of the starter or reduce the lease payment — is that too complicated?
Obviously I can’t recommend this dealership based on my experience with them. I’m reviewing the dealer, not the 2013 Prius which is awesome. I can’t express how unhappy I am with the lack of professionalism I have seen at this dealership around this situation.

AVOID at all cost. I would give this place no stars but Unilocal does not offer the option. Went on the lot — met by Filipino sales person who turn out to be incredibly RUDE. Did not allow me to sit in front with my significant other; did not allow us to go on the highway; throughout the horrendous ride– only gave «Left, right» directives and no other conversation. Upon hearing that we were not buying in the immediate future– literally left us stranded on the lot and went back inside.
We continued on to another Toyota place in Milford and received impeccable service. A-​1 is known for their rudeness and this jerk proved it so. Don’t give them your hard earned $$.

Just bought my 3^rd Prius from A-​1 Toyota. Quincy Smith has been awesome all 3 times. Truth be told, I was hit from behind by a texting teenager who was going 50 – 60 MPH while I was stopped and my Prius saved my life. Great car and a great place to buy a new one.

Dear Karen, you can hire people to say nice things about your company all day long, but this site are of people who used your service and had a very very bad experience buying a care is a huge investment so when you step in and make some fake five star comercial comment vs my –1 star among many others instead of responding directly to my comment or others like it, it just shows you don’t care one bit, your making your money right. welll it wont’ last.
