The Home Depot

I have been a loyal Home Depot shopper and I have spent a lot of money with them over the years but my days shopping at Home Depot have come to an end. I moved to the New Hartford area recently and find that this store does not offer the 5% price match for Lowes like every other Home Depot I have ever shopped at. Many calls resulted in their advice to sign up for a business card. I was accepted but issues arose and then the account was closed before I even received the cards. I called the head quarters again to talk about the lack of service and unifying principles between all the stores and they were not able to do anything to resolve the issue. I have had other issues with Home Depot in the last 6 months and they have been major problems and including broken promises. The level of customer service I have grown to know from them has disappeared and that is sad. I am now a loyal Lowe’s Home Improvement shopper. Their service is much better and they take great care of the customer. Good bye Home Depot!

While it’s still possible to get what you need at Home Depot, the general level of service has plummeted in the last couple of years. There’s clearly something in the corporate culture that makes working here a bad experience because half the employees have a bad attitude and the others are completely inept. This didn’t use to be the case. When this store opened, it was great. These days, the shopping experience is dreadful at best.

Found what I needed, very convenient location to where I was.
The staff was very helpful even while not working in that specific department, when out of his way to find someone to assist with questions.
I would return here over the Torrington Lowes any day!
