History

Established in 1959.

In 1959 George and Alice Rohan established Rohan Swim pools, it was the first pool company in Orange county, NY. In 1982 Jim and Sue took over the business from Sue’s parents (George and Alice) and renamed it Royal Pools and Spas. A new location is added in 1993 in Newburgh, NY. In 2000 Jim and Sue passed the business on to their children, Beth and Greg. In 2012 Royal Pools Construction was established to accomodate the growing demand for Inground pools and Royal Pools and Spas remained to accomodate all above ground pools, spas, and service

Business Owner

Greg’s main focus over the past 17 years has been the installation, construction, renovation, and liner installation of in ground pools. He is a 3^rd generation Family owner of Royal Pools Construction. The company was started in 1959 by his grandparents, Alice and George; however they called it Rohan Swim Pools. It was renamed Royal Pools and Spas in 1982 when his parents, Sue and Jim, took over the business. he started working with his parents at age 15. In 2000, I became an owner of Royal Pools and Spas. In March of 2012, I sectioned the in ground portion on the company under Royal Pools Construction as the sole owner. He maintained the same crew that he worked with under the prior company name as well as took on his father as an employee. He has developed a reputation in this area that is marked by his 26 plus years experience, quality, consistency, and integrity. He, along with his father Jim, work tirelessly to maintain that reputation and to keep the business thriving.
