History
Established in 1982.
In 1982, my mother, Brenda, founded The Chocolatier. The little corner store she opened carried a variety of scrumptious chocolates and delicious candies. She attended all of the chocolate shows, traveling throughout the country and Europe in search of superior edibles to carry in her store. She was determined to create a business that offered not just chocolates but unique, exceptional chocolates that would set her apart from all other chocolate stores. Her dedication to excellence and commitment to quality was rewarded.
She continually brought in products that her customers adored and quickly outgrew her first small store. She moved to her seconds store only to (happily!) outgrow that location in just five more years. Currently, we are in our largest location on the Main Street of New City, New York. 2,400 ft2 chock full of delicious edibles.

In the year 2000, as Brenda’s oldest daughter, I followed in my mother’s footsteps and became President of The Chocolatier. We now carry over 75 varieties of chocolate as well as an extensive line of confections. In the last few years, The Chocolatier has also introduced an expansive line of appealing giftware. Our mission has always been to offer our customers the finest quality products at an affordable price. Our pledge is to continue to do so. I look forward to sharing our delicious edibles with you and I know you will enjoy them as so many faithful customers already do.
