History

Established in 1983.

Dr. Chernick is a graduate of NYU College of Dentistry. He was a Research Fellow in Dental Materials and an Assistant Professor of Dental Materials at NYU in the 1980’s. His Practice includes all phases of General Dentistry, Cosmetics and Implants. He is a Fellow for the Academy of General Dentistry. In the early 1990’s Dr. Chernick developed a sub specialty in the new area of what is now called Dental Sleep Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine & Board Certified in Oral Appliance Therapy for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Snoring.

He currently holds positions as Research Associate at Cooper Union Department of Bio-​Medical Engineering. He is also an Attending Dentist at Nyack Hospital & Consultant to the Sleep Centers at both Nyack & Good Samaritan Hospitals.
