Established in 2012.

Steps To Success is a Diabetes Education & Management organization in the D. C Metropolitan area. We launched this website in late October 2012, In order to help spread diabetes awareness and more importantly, proper management methods. We’ve filled our site with a ton of valuable information and resources such as our Diabetes e-​book and Glycemic Index Table. We also provide services like Diabetes Testing Plans (for low cost supplies each month) and One on one Diabetes Consultations with our CDE. With Diabetes affecting over 371 Million people, It is necessary for us to do all we can to promote self-​management. This site was specifically created to do just that.

Business Owner

Helen A. Jenkins is a Registered Nurse and a Certified Diabetes Educator. She graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2001 with a BSN. She has a myriad of nursing experience that ranges from Medical Surgical, Home Health, Hematology/​Oncology, Respiratory, Heart and Kidney before she began specializing In Diabetes education at a world renown medical center in the D. C Metropolitan area. Her extensive experience as a CDE ranges from children (pediatrics) to the adult population affected with diabetes. She founded Steps To Success in early 2012 with a goal to reach and educate as many individuals as possible in order to bring awareness about diabetes and with the hope of bridging the gap between education and compliance as it relates to management of the disease.
