At Closet Curator we have more than 22 years of experience as personal stylists, image consultants and in the retail industry.
If you need help with your clothing, we give you personalized advice for a full wardrobe update; for casual, business, and/or dressy occasions. We repurpose the pieces in your wardrobe to create totally new outfits and we teach you the shapes and colors that look best on you. In turn, you learn to create your own custom look, your personal image that makes you feel confident, in style & beautiful every day.
Closet Curator is based in New Canaan, CT and in New York City, New York. We work by appointment only.
History
Established in 2009.
In November of 2009 after many years in the retail industry, Susan O. Singer founded Closet Curator. The focus of her business is to help women develop and refine their every day style so that they can leave the house each day feeling comfortable and confident about the way they look.

Susan has worked in the retail industry for over twenty four years selling women’s clothing mostly for Gap, Inc. stores including Banana Republic, Gap and Gap Kids. And for all those years, she had plenty of opportunities to organize the closets and curate the wardrobes of countless friends and family members… just for fun and because they asked for her help. In November, 2009 she had a «light bulb» moment. She realized she had a skill to offer and a passion to pursue. She decided to do this work professionally and soon after, launched her own styling practice. Her mission is to help women develop and define their every day style. She starts with what you own; the clothes already in your closet, and then finds ways to make it all seem new, cohesive and stylish. And in the process… she will find YOUR every day style.
