This place is closed, google it. Unilocal doesn’t know how to update even after you submit a change. Unilocal sucks at updating. According to Unilocal,my fav sunday breakfast place in Westport is closed on Sundays, despite me telling Unilocal numerous times that it is not. in fact, according to Unilocal, the Sizzler by near us is still open, you know the one they have located next to Caldor.

Expensive, Inauthentic, Preppy Crepes 1) As for the reviewers asking whether these crepes are authentic, they’re not. I just moved back from Paris. Are they tasty? Kind of. 2) As for the prices, WAY too high. $ 8.00 for a Nutella crêpe? Are you kidding me? That’s even more expensive than the crêpe place right next to the Eiffel Tower. That’s almost four times what I would pay in certain Parisian neighborhoods. 3) The hot chocolate is better than the Starbucks across the street. It is $ 3, but worth it, if for no other reason that you don’t have to stand in line. Especially on Saturday and Sunday brunch-time. 4) This place frequently does not have all the things available on its menu. Three separate times, I’ve seen a case where the waiter had to say, «oh, we’re out of that today.» Today it was salsa. The guy sitting next to me seemed genuinely disappointed. 5) This would be one of the preppiest places in the planet, if not for the French theme. The guy in front of me is wearing a Vineyard Vines t-shirt. Out on the sidewalk tables, there is a dude in Sperry Topsiders and his wife(I think) in a tulip yellow Sheath Dress. The grandfather(I’m guessing) is in a Brooks Brothers blazer with a pastel madras shirt underneath. The guy next to me is wearing the classic preppy white baseball cap. It might as well say, «Deerfield Lacrosse» on it. The only saving grace is that it’s French, which, as anyone familiar with Lisa Birnbach’s 1980 Preppy Handbook knows, is a counter-preppy culture. Preppies are Anglophiles, not Francophiles, because the English are fond of monarchical hierarchies and class differences, whereas the French killed all the aristocrats in the 18th century. 6) The wait staff hasn’t had its stuff together in my visits. It’s always the little things that they miss. This time, as I was walking out of the restaurant in a rush for the train, one of them said, «wait, you have to pay.» And I was like, «I already paid.» This is one you do not get wrong. You don’t tell a customer to pay when they have already paid. Especially if your crepes are $ 8.00. This sort of rude service never happens in Parisian restaurants. 7) It’s diagonally across the intersection from the station. This is very convenient, but do not wait until the last minute to leave, because you’re taking your life into your hands if you try to rush across that intersection without the walk sign.

Sorry to have to write a bad review but the meal really was… bad. Also, was overcharged by $ 2. When I told the cashier this, she insisted the total cost was right. When I checked the menu again, it wasn’t. Worst $ 42+ ever spent on take-out. Got take-away, so perhaps that affected the quality a bit but I doubt it since I went about 5 minutes before we all ate. Roasted chicken crêpe had hardly any chicken in it. Hardly any mushrooms either. Rather blah flavor. Served with mixed greens which had a flavoring of some sort of Miracle Whip dressing on it? It came from either the greens or the crêpe– not sure which but was truly awful. This ‘miracle whip’ cheap flavor also ruined the avocado/veggie crêpe. The piece of quiche had a flavorful filling, but I have had much better. The crust was too thick and too overcooked. The worst was the sweet crêpe for dessert. This one we were overcharged for. It was a mushy, flavorless crêpe with what tasted like Hershey’s syrup poured over it. Could have made a better one at home for about 10 cents. That’s my 2 cents. I’m sure it’s a popular place in town as appears with the h.s. kids.

Free wifi! I know that’s probably the last thing you need to know about a crêpe place but it’s vital information when a hurricane hits and you have no power at home, hehe. My husband and his family were here the day before I decided to come by. When my husband and I came, the waitstaff remembered him and congratulated us on our recent nuptials. How cute! On to the food– I enjoyed the strawberry, chocolate and whipped cream crêpe. A very decadent treat! Hubby had the Nutella and banana crêpe for the second day in a row. This is a tiny spot that was definitely hoppin’ by the time we left. Not sure if it’s because the local high school had off that day because of the hurricane. Either way, they can also get your crepes to go. A cute local business worth patronizing!

First off, I want to state that the food was amazing. Cute little tucked away place in what seems to be a flashy prominent town. The flavors were interesting and tasted as fresh as could be. You could see the woman in the back hard at work and cooking much of everything to order so that was awesome to be able to see peeking through the cut out wall. Now I don’t complain a lot but I actually got back onto Unilocal to write this review… Other than the amazing food, it was one of the worst dining experiences of MYLIFE due to lack of service and overall experience. Me and a girlfriend had traveled the day to work in town and has spotted cute little Caroline’s Creperie while parking. We stopped in later and when we asked the hostess/waitress for a quick look at the menu, she rudely and silently gave us one and stared at us until we awkwardly decided to stay. She was young I think her name was Jen and I only know that because I overheard her talking to a regular, not because she told us. There were about 4 or 5 other tables taken but its a small space and we felt as though we almost had to whisper to one another. Same waitress comes standing over us and asks if were ready a few minutes after sitting down. We order — she walks away — come back with our food 15 minutes later — walks away again. While me and my friend were enjoying the sites outside by our nice window table in a town we had never before experienced, I am not even over exaggerating when I tell you this girl was so unbelievably miserable it ruined the entire dining experience for us if it hadn’t been for our ability to laugh at how impolite she was. Not once during the hour me and my friend sat there talking, did she ask us how the food was or if we wanted anything else… meanwhile we were the table closest to her a foot away! At the end when we were ready to pay, we just went up to the register since she seemed to be neglecting tables and just folding her pile of napkins and we couldn’t bare sitting any longer. Maybe get some new front of house staff because the food is DEFINITELY not the problem. I’m sure they have regulars but they sure don’t plan to make any future ones with waitstaff like that one.

‘taint Paris but her pedigree certainly qualifies. Croque Monsuer met traditional requirements and yes, the crepes are yummy. Tasty and quaint, well worth a visit.

Authentic indeed, shoddy wait staff to say the least but quality food weighs in big! SoCo Creamery ice cream and sorbet with honey lavender the best. The owner is hands on big time and really engaged in bringing something new to the community so if in the mood for savory or sweet, this is the place to go. Oh, grab a fresh squeezed lemonade and dream of the South of France.

Welcome to a genuine Parisian creperie where French native and owner Caroline personally works the crêpe pan. Exceptionally delicious assortment of savory and sweet crepes and a strawberry Charlotte to die for!

Served by Caroline herself once she realized her sever had forgotten about our order. She comped the entire meal and we never even complained! Excellent Croque Madame. Will def return! Now open Sundays!

Really good savory and sweet crepes. The owners is from France so I trust that these crepes are authentically french. =) The savory ones are really gooood for brunch and then it’s perfect if you top it off with a sweet dessert crêpe. Recommendations: Brie/Pear/Bacon crêpe(comes with greens on the bottom) Roasted Chicken and mushrooms with mixed greens – this was really good, one of the few that is folded over and everything is warm and gooey inside. Really flavorful. We’ve tried 2 other savory crepes too and they were both really good. Dessert crêpe of choice for me is definitely the nutella and banana crêpe. Though the Dulce De Leche is also very yummy if you’re a big DDL fan. Their hot chocolate is yummy as well. It’s a very small shop, maybe 20 – 25 people max capacity. Very quaint. Blue and calming. 2 – 3 outside tables available if the weather permits. =) Definitely go there if you want some crepes!

End of story: If you are not too far, this is a great, casual place to try. Lovely, lovely people work there. This place is great, not only for the food but for the lovely Caroline, Deda, and rest of staff. They make you feel very welcome, enough to come back again and again to enjoy the yummy crepes and cheery, bright atmosphere. The kids love the nutella and apple crepes. I enjoy the savory crepes. It sounds like I need to try the soups! P. S. I did go again and try the soups, and they are delicious.

This is a really nice alternative to the hustle of the other elm street restaurants for a delicious lunch. With many choices of crepes, both savory and sweet, Caroline’s offers something for everyone. On one visit i enjoyed a delicious beef soup and a croque monsieur and on another visit I enjoyed my favorite combination, a dessert crepes with bananas, chocolate and whipped cream.

There is not a whole lot to write about this place but I can say enough to give it 4 stars. It’s small, nondescript but quite unique for the area. My friend and I stopped off here for a very brief bite before our glass house tour. The server willingly accommodated us when we told them we were in a hurry. We split the croque monsieur which was richer than most but we also got our own soups. I must say, the soups are a must!!! The Potato leek and chicken noodle were very delicious. I had the chicken noodle with very fine noodles– fantastic. The chicken noodle included carrots, lots of broth and the very thin, dense noodles… And the bowls were very large. I would definitely put caroline’s crêpe’s on my list to revisit! This chicken noodle soup may be one of my favorite soups ever and I’m not exaggerating.
