Great shop, very friendly and they’ll add just about anything to a sandwich you want. Cool variety of chilled root beers too! Yum!

Yum! Great high quality ice cream. Good selection of flavors. I was amazed by how clean this place was. I expected prices to be much higher than they were for a beach town ice cream shop. Friendly service.

This place was right next door to where we had lunch so we thought that we would stop in for a treat for the kids. The service was great, the employees were very attentive. They had a great selection of ice cream available, we all found something that made our mouths water. There were 4 of us in our group and we got out of there for $ 12.00, which we thought was good! Two of us didn’t even finish our portions. Our kids loved sitting on the benches out front on their ‘protected patio’ away from the hustle of the main sidewalk. We would definitely come back again.

It’s a really cute place the customer service is nice, the ice creams great, the prices aren’t too bad, to be honest I really like this ice cream shop and I’m really happy they have the choice of frozen yogurt it’s kind of hard to get Around here, I think it’s a great addition to new buffalo

Perfect location, very good ice cream. I agree with the post about going to McDonald’s if you want cheap ice cream. If you’re in a resort town you’re going to pay more for things.

I’ve read some reviews that were downright nasty about their prices. That’s the prices for ice cream in the area of New Buffalo. If you want inexpensive ice cream take your family home or go to McDonald’s. This place is our favorite and we go every weekend. The new owner (Doug) and his family and the staff there have been nothing but accommodating since they opened.

Visited on a HOT Sunday afternoon. Ordered 2 scoops totaling up to $ 8!!! Thought it was rather expensive, but that’s not what ruined our experience.
After «dining in» — (well sitting and enjoying our ice cream.) I went to the counter and asked for a glass of ice water. The woman behind the counter (who was not very friendly for an ice cream shop) told me there was either a water fountain or I can buy a bottle of water. I said I would like some ice, but she still said they don’t do that and its either the fountain or buy the bottle. A few minutes went by and I noticed they had a coffee maker and paper coffee cups near the door. I checked their menu and they did not have coffee anywhere on the menu — so I figured it wouldn’t be a big deal if I grabbed a cup to get water from the WATER FOUNTAIN like the woman said. I filled the cup and was returning to our table as the lady stopped me and said «that will be 75 cents» I immediately put down the cup and said I didn’t want it then. My husband, son and I immediately left as I didn’t want to spend another minute in there.
Here’s what bothers me the most about this situation — we were paying customers — customers paying for overpriced ice cream. I mean $ 8 for two scoops of ice cream is unacceptable, but with decent customer service maybe worth 3.5 stars. Beachside scoops is lucky I gave them one star — I will never return and made sure my entire family heard about the situation.
Hope people read this review and spend their money and time at one of the many other ice cream shops in new buffalo. I am sure the other few ice cream shops are much more deserving or your money and time.

Meh. Place is ok… in one of those horrid new beachside buildings meant to look old, which just look… kinda new and cheesy. With plastic instead of wood muntins in the windows, you know? I loathe new windows.
Ordered a Mac Island Fudge on a sugar one before seeing it was a whopping 3.50 for a single scoop. Mmmmm ok. The ice cream was good… but the scoop was so wee it wouldn’t qualify for a kid’s portion. They do have dairy and gluten-​free options should your diet require it —
I just really wish the portions weren’t so stingy. It’ll keep me from returning.

Perfect location — so close to the beach and the ice cream was great!

Went in with three cranky kids and too tired parents. Came out with smiles all around. Delicious.
